Audit This

blouse: LA Made from Nordstrom, tank: Costco, skirt: Black Halo from LA, flats: Linea Paolo from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, medallion necklace, gifted rings, chipping OPI nail polish
Early morning audition for the First Date workshop at the 5th (crossing my fingers!) and it went really well.  For some reason I got really nervous (shakey nervous) during my first song.  It was the first time I had sung that cut and after my very first line I almost forgot my next line... yesh.  But I recovered and all was good and it felt fab!  I will find out tonight if I am called back for tomorrow or Sun.

Then (since I missed my opportunity to yoga today by about 5 min... sad panda), I headed out to do the downtown Starbucks resume run, got TONS of manager cards and even got an interview for next Tues! I would be so good at that job. All I do is hope that I get a job soon.  Bored with unemployment.

In the South (Lake Union)

tee: Where the Wild Things Are from Urban, skirt: BCBG Maxazaria from Nordstrom, socks: gifted DKNY, shoes: Blowfish from DSW, head scarf: thrifted in LA
Last night I went to go see In The Heights at the 5th after doing a few loads of laundry (one more left, but I ran outta quarters...) and I definitely liked it.  I liked the format a lot especially the incorporation of more rap and hip hop, but the story did seem pretty trite despite the important issues being raised.  And the ending?  Happened in like 2 lines of the final song and was kinda disappointing despite its predictability.

I realized a number of things at the show tonight.  First it made me wish I'd been able to see it in New York with Lin Manuel Miranda.  I think his unique energy and originality would have made the show markedly different.  I also noticed how much quicker I am than the other audience members.  There were a number of jokes that I got 30 seconds to a minute before the rest of the audience.  I seemed to laugh earlier too... And lastly, I realized how strange it is to go to the theatre (especially a musical) on your own on a Friday night.  I think I was the only one in there by myself...

Prepster

tank: Costco, jeans: j brand from Nordstrom, blazer: Forever 21, shoes: Pour la Victoire from Shoefly, Accessories: Aldo necklace from LA, bejeweled bracelet, giant black cocktail ring (sad panda), gold swirl earrings from Express
Um, so... a moment of silence for my black cocktail ring... On the way to work this morning it fell out of my pocket along Mercer and was lost forever (unless I somehow find it, but I'm gonna stick with lost forever...for now).  Back to the obscurity from whence it came (found in a bar bathroom, lost on the street)... We had a good few (2?) years together and now... no more. *le sigh*

Dinner with the fah-zha will be cut short tonight because I am called for rehearsal at 930 (BOO!) to work on my monologue... I know I need to work it, but honestly?  ONE DAY'S notice?!  Blearg!  It's fine.  That still gives us about 3 hours together, but I am a little sad panda that that is probably all I'll be able to see of him... Stupid crazy-ass rehearsal schedule and him only knowing a few days ahead of time that he was coming into town!  Bad timing!  Le suck!

But I also get a massage tonight (THANK THE GODS!) and I need it so badly it's just kinda sad.  My left side is completely inept at this point and my neck is killing me!  Hopefully, I will feel rested and rejuvenated after it's done because right now I am just exhausted (after 2 giant cups of coffee)!  This work (extra-hard!) all day and rehearse all night thing is starting to get to me.  AND I just over-scheduled my weekend (as I do), so the relaxing will be minimal I'm sure... Oh wells.  I'll sleep when I'm dead, right? (And I'm good so long as I don't get sickie... No more sick days!)

Bangs now fully cover my eyebrows and are constantly in my field of vision.  Starting to think sweeping them to the side may be best bet.  May experiment tomorrow...
