Save It

turtleneck: H&M, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, belt: Uniqlo, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Charlotte Russe necklace, Relic watch, Cost Plus leaf earrings
I wore this to my long-ass opener today. I even stayed 45 minutes later than I was scheduled to do my 6-month review (yay for a pay raise!) and now I am so beyond ready to just nap and eat and pass out. Instead though, I am going to go to the industry night of a show that a bunch of my friends are in... because I am a good person.

Another opener tomorrow. But this one is gonna be super short (THANK GOD) and then I am gonna nap and relax a bit before pilates, PT, an audition and ANOTHER show. Then I have a day off on Wednesday though!  So far, no plans but I might try to catch some more theatre... like I do.  Then Thursday and Friday I open again. And on Thursday I get a haircut/color! YAY! And a massage and back to c.1993 for the final three performances... le sigh. I only wish that I didn't have to open on Friday. But then!  The weekend off! YES! Recording for the show Saturday afternoon (so, I'm missing the Husky game AGAIN), but all of Sunday off. Until I catch a matinee of another show...

Red HAWT

My new heeerrrrrr!
Um, super excited about my new hair color.  It's pretty red.  A little bit redder than I had anticipated too, but I like!  I feel a little big Mary Jane Watson (but with short hair) or as the receptionist at my massage place said (and I totally agree), like Franka Potente (from The Bourne movies).  It's different for me, but it's gonna be FUN!

Sunkissed and Happy

blouse: H&M, capris: thrifted Gap, shoes: Tom's from Nordstrom, accessories: gifted mini-heart necklace, Relic watch,  tribal earrings, new: haircut
Well, another openin' and dear god am I happy for a day off to sleep in, etc. tomorrow. Whew, I need it. I also got to hangout in the loverly sun this afternoon reading in my romper at the park near my apt.  Le sigh.  It's also supposed to get into the 80's next week!  STAY THAT WAY, WEATHER!

Transformative

tee: Old Navy, skirt: H&M, leggings: Forever 21, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Enerjewels earrings, gifted mini-heart necklace
Well, this is the last picture of me with the longer hair because I was able to sneak into a hair cut time slot today with Zoe!  w00t!  It's a little different, but generally the same idea of a cut and thank god the bangs are outta my eyes.

Another opening shift tomorrow and then nothing until 7am on Fri--yay!  Seriously hoping I have an early day off next week as well since I'll be house-/dogsitting for la mama.  I was excited that Thurs was supposed to be 80, but now it looks like today was supposed to be the hot day (and I spent a good amount of it sitting outside, so at least that's good). But overall: LE BOO. I was looking forward to a hot day by some agua in my bikini. Le boo, indeed.

Finally headed back to yoga today (after about a week's hiatus) and dear god it felt AMAZING. More yoga plz.

Who Can Save Us?

blouse: Old Navy, capris: thrifted Gap, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Enerjewels earrings, gifted mini-heart necklace
Dear GOD, my hair is long.  I'm not really realizing it since 3/4 of the week it's either up in a crazy times or else back in a bouffant to make it look presentable, but when it's clean.  Yesh.  This shizz is insanity.  Don't think it's been this long since...I dunno when...

I worked at 1st and Pike today and Clover coffee?  WORTH THE PRICE!  Holy crap, sooooo good.  Ridic. I had two different ones (the Sumatra and Jamaica Blue Mountain--on ice!) and both were supes good.  Although neither one was as bold as I like my coffee.  Plus, it was fun to be able to screw with the regulars who go to both stores (they were confuzzled) and feel like everything was new again.  Def made the day go by faster.  Plus, they were busy. For realz.

Then I was supposed to meet with Thea to talk about the Sunday plans for the Mad Men party we are "hosting" (ya know, playing Joan again, but this time with a Betty!), but her hair took at little bit longer than expected and she had to cancel, but no problem.  I was getting a pedi and then sitting outside in the sun(!) reading Game of Thrones on my kindle. w00t! w00t! It was good times.

The Day That Time Forgot

tank: Costco, sweater: Mod Cloth, jeans: BDG from Urban, shoes: LA Gear (from Lindy's closet), accessories: gifted rings, Charlotte Russe necklace, Relic watch
Was gonna pack another day full and then, I decided not to.  I start my new job tomorrow and have a crazy weekend with the wedding, etc, so I kinda decided I would take a day off... I am about to head to my haircut, but other than that I am not going to plan anything and just enjoy the last day of nothingness I have planned.

I'll share the haircut pics once I get back!

Bacon-Flavored Life

tee: Rubbish from BP for Nordstrom, tank: Costco, sweater: Mod Cloth, scarf: gifted, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, shoes: LA Gear (scavenged from the dregs of Lindy's closet
So, I am pretty sure that these pants are officially dying.  Getting thin on the inner thigh on both sides... blearg.  Also dead: the Zigi Soho boots I wore yesterday (the right one has officially worn through the soles)... My next big splurge will be a pair of super-nice Frye boots about the same height as those ones that died, but 100% better quality.  That's the goal, at least.

Love, love, LOVED Merry Wives last night!  And, although, I wasn't necessarily prepared to, it was a more than welcome surprise.  Perfect casting, loverly style (super-traditional Shakespearion) and a really clean cut.  It was also the first time I saw that show onstage (marking another one off the list--yeah, that's right, Lonestar Love does NOT count). Definitely glad I threw that thing into my crazy-ass day.

I didn't get home (to la mama's, that is) until around 11 last night and the poor little Buggie was so in need of some luvin', so I gave her a pretty long walk and fed her and then passed OUT!  Looooong day.

Today, I apparently needed a good night's sleep because my alarm did not go off and I full on slept until 11am!  I only woke up because the Bug came into the room as in "LET'S GET UP AND GO!", so I did!  Took her on a ridic long walk and fed her and then hungout with her in the (furniture-less) TV room (Food Network--HELLO!) until the fah-zha picked me up and I helped him run some errands before heading back to the house and working on wedding prep with Jacki.  Another good day in a crazy times week.

Tomorrow, I am getting a haircut!  THANK THE GODS!  I need one soooo badly (look. at. the. bangs!). Gonna try to yoga beforehand and possibly ballet tomorrow night.  And then on Wednesday, I start work.  Yay! New job!

Once More, With Feeling!

tee: Rubbish from Nordstrom, tank: Costco, sweater: BP from Nordstrom, jeans: J Brand from RueLaLa, flats: Linea Paolo from Nordstrom, accessories: thrifted pearls, bejeweled bracelet
Oh, the moment walking through the Intiman's lobby door and into the house, seeing the stage spread out before me.  MY stage... It was breathtaking, literally.  A fabulous start to the first night in the space.  Can. Not. Wait. For. MORE!

Ran errands all day and then went straight to rehearsal.  Loverly and relaxing and prepping for this weekend's insanity.

PS.  LOVE MY NEW HAIR! SOOO HARD!

Column

blouse: gifted, trousers: Anthropologie, oxfords: Pour la Victoire from Shoe Fly (RIP), belt: gifted from Nordstrom, accessories: red beaded bracelet, thrifted pearl necklace, pearl drop earrings, new haircut & color!, cameo: new picture hanging on wall!
Whew!  Yesterday was a DOOSY! Besides working for half a day and doing the company lunch thing, PLUS getting my hair cut/colored, I also managed to squeeze a trip to HSBC to get a new checking account and credit card underway (finally--YAY!!!!) as well as pick up some make up at Sephora AND stop by the library to drop off/pick up cd's.  Oh and then I came home and decorated my apartment.  Yeah, that's right, I AM a rock star.

Seriously, though, you all should come see how NICE the apartment looks now.  It's like we actually LIVE there!  w00t!

Can't wait for tonight!  Should be fun times take the parentals out for their Xmas gifty (no telling--yet!) and spending time with the whole gaggle (oh, how organized we all are--haha!).  Let's just hope we all make it there in one piece.  And on time.  I aim high...

PS Pam, if you were wondering about the dress code for tonight, I hope that this helps a bit!

PPS Check out my super cute finger nails!

alternating red and green with gold sparkles!

New: Haircut

New haircut/color!!
LOVE IT!  So much better shorter.  Thank you. Zoe.

Holidaze

tunic: (as blouse) Free People from Nordstrom, skirt: BCBG Maxaria from Nordstrom, tights: gifted Donna Karen, boots: Chinese Laundry, accessories: bejeweled bracelet, Joan necklace
Love these tights!  Seriously, I mean, I liked them when I saw them in my stocking, but once I put them on?  GAH!  How 60's are they?!  LOVE!  I just wanna wear them with a bright orange mini and white go go boots!  So, super thanks parentals!

So, today we are off in a little over an hour to lunch at Wild Ginger as a company (and hopefully get Xmas bonuses? One can hope!) and then HAIRCUT!  w00t!  Super excited to have shorter hair again because this mangled mess is a PAIN to deal with, for realzies...

Pineapple Express

tee: gifted, jeans: BDG from Urban, sweater: lux from Urban, boots: Tommy Hilfiger from DSW, accessories: (unpictured) gifted Anne Taylor Loft necklace
So, I wasn't intending to just straight up not post for days, but my hair just looked SOOO crappy that I decided I didn't want that on the interwebs forever and sauce.  So, here we go.  I am now back home taking pictures in my corner (power cord and all, sorry dad) with access to my hairspray (thank the gods!) and different pants.  No more packing while wrapping presents while getting ready to play Joan at a paid 1960's era party.  You end up forgetting quintessential items, take it from me.

Tonight and tomorrow I am ambitious that I will clean the apartment, take out trash and recycle, reorganize closets (and my room) and DECORATE my room and the living room (not for Xmas--you all know I hate that shizz--just for life, ya know?  We've only been living here for almost 8 months, it's about time we settle in)!   It's a goal.  And when I put on Xmas music/movies I think I will motivate myself to make it look presentable for Roomie-mas (that's roommate Christmas, Dad) this weekend!

Tomorrow is our office Xmas lunch and then I think I'll stop by the bank and see if they will gimme a credit card (cause, ya know, cash sux.  Plus I should establish SOME credit before I leave this coast) and then I get my hair cut & colored!  And I am thinking something along these lines:
don't like any of them, but I do like their hair...
Not TOO red, but still redder than mine is now.  Really what it is is darker with a red tint (no red-orange flame or strawberry blonde or fire engine red or even as red as Joan's--does that make you feel better Mom?).  Just thought I should clarify.
