Jumpsuit + fur = perfection!  Totally love this combo.  And can Michael Kors make a LBD or what?  If I was 20 pounds lighter I KNOW I could rock that thing (or a knock off at 1/100th of the price) SO HARD!

Check out the Gucci hats!  So much in love! Also loving Gucci's bold color palate. Makes me happy that Fall isn't just for browns any more. And fur! Such a great '30s throwback. I want it all. Layers, layers and more layers! And all the mixing of patterns.  Giant heart!

When the Sartorialist calls this the "collection to beat" for Fall 2011 they were not kidding. Holy crap!  I love everything that has to do with this collection.  All the leather, the draping, multiple belts, use of silks, ridiculous layering.  I want to go to here.  And now, please!

Did I mention I like this early Xmas thing?  I decided to treat myself to a new purse what you see above because it's just weird to have a bookbag be my everyday purse since I am no longer a student and this one is just too cute to pass up.  Should be here sometime next week (just in time for Xmas!) and I am supes excited!

Also, definitely loving my new black Kindle!  Reading today at lunch was made so much easier since it is light and lays flat on its own (no need to hold down the pages with a cell phone and ipod so I can eat lunch at the same time)!  Plus, INSTANT BOOKS! YAY! And because we did early Xmas I get it 2 weeks earlier!  Loving it!

Obsessed!

First of all, I should just admit that I am obsessed with The Sartorialist in general, but occasionally he will post something specific that jumps out at me and becomes total inspiration and the picture below is exactly that.

I love the vintage look of the 3/4 sleeve brown polka dot dress with the full skirt hitting around the knees with the pointy-toed leopard print heels and chunky orange & brown bracelets.  Seriously!  Totally chic and totally inspirational!

I am not gonna lie, I really want a cape.  But I want a cute one that preferably has a belt and does not make me look like I am in a heavier rain poncho.  I really like the camel capelet below:

Hmmm... the art issue with Kim Kardashian on the cover?  Really?  Although I hate her, I really do love the artwork by Barbara Kruger... Other than that article (on Kruger, not Kardashian) and one on Paul Reubens coming to Broadway as Pee Wee Herman(!) there really wasn't ANYTHING good in this issue... bummer.  Although I did heart a Hitchcock-ian fashion spread that's super film noir as you will see below.

W magazine had some very clever spreads this month and since I finally got around to devouring it, I figured I would share (PS I kinda like this new monthly post: going through my fav bits of the two fashion mags I get each month, like my bulletin board, but way less time consuming and a lot less messy).

Michelle Williams & Ryan Gosling (yum) were on the cover this month tauting their new indie movie, Blue Valentine and Michelle had one of my favorite quotes right on the cover of the mag (as well as in the interview): "Just get naked and who cares if it ends up on the internet".  Love it!  What a refreshing way to examine your craft.  Plus in the dual interview with both actors, "Michelle Williams & Ryan Gosling: Heart to Heart" they both talked about the process of their new movie and how it differed from most Hollywood productions.  They both seem like people that I would really enjoy both on and off camera if I were to do the pictures.  They seem like people I could be friends with.

The Last Designer On Earth

I've been thinking a lot lately about this question: "if you could only wear one designer for the rest of your life, who would it be?" And, as hard as it is to choose (I'm thinking JUST clothing, not shoes & purses too), I honestly think I would choose Diane von Furstenberg.  Part of me wants to scream "no, no you wouldn't!  You'd choose Chanel or Yves St Laurent or even Dolce & Gabbana or Louis Vuitton!!!  You would! You would!"  But I wouldn't.  Those are clothes (and clothiers) to wear on occasion, not everyday.  And that's why I heart DvF so much.  Her clothes have all these great colors and patterns and textures, but they still manage to look comfortable and practical.  Even her most casual clothes are still super chic.

Well, some exciting developments!  First of all a US ASOS has opened up!  WHAT?!  How exciting!!!! I totally heart this online super store and now it's all in American dollars and FREE shipping (both ways)... le sigh!  Love their sale & clearance sections.  You can get such good deals on supes cute shizz.  Plus the Asos brand is pretty darn cute (and SUPER cheapy) too!  LOVES IT!  My wallet might take a hit, but my closet sure is excited!

This weekend is gonna be theatre-tastic!  I mean, I only have this weekend to really catch all these things that are closing, so I gotta get on it... Fri night is OtB's opening show, Christian Rizzo, which I am SUPES excited about, Sat is the marathon of Cider House: pt 1 at 2PM & pt 2 at 730pm... and Sun I am meeting Carolyn & Sara for (dressed up!) drinkles and then seeing God of Carnage at Seattle Rep--WHEW!  Should be good, just exhausting...  Next wknd I have to get on In the Heights before it's gone and the following wknd is Mauritius' closing so that's when I will grab that one... Next Fri & the following Sun are probably my only free day for the next 2 weeks, so... here's hoping!

Tonight is our first full run through since the cuts and apparently, it's for some of the Annex board... I am crossing my fingers that all goes according to plan.  And that we have some energy.  That was definitely lacking from last night's run of Act 1... ENERGY!

Oh, Vogue... Why must you be so stingy with what you share on your website?  There are no links to articles, except the cover article.  Definitely nothing for your article "Va Va Boom", extolling the virtues of the Victoria's Secret models on the runway in the fall shows.  Nothing but this behind-the-scenes video from the shoot... And this Nordstrom spread on your Fall Must-Haves. W Magazine shares (oh, how they share!), but alas, you are your own entity.  And a very miserly one at that.
