I came home and slept a good two more hours and have now eaten (wondering about energy levels leading to vocal pushing as well), inhaled massive amounts of miracle tea, honey and apple cider vinegar and have plans with a suuuuuuuper hot shower and salt water gargle in a bit. The thing is that I do NOT feel sick. I just feel tired. And I think opening shifts + opening weeks = BAD. I need to remember this for the future and make sure I get enough time to rest my chords each night before heading into work the next day.
Also, warming up would probably be a good idea. Although I have been warming up physically, I have completely neglected my vocal warm-ups and in the parks and singing... Bad actor, bad actor...
I have my massage in a bit and then I am gonna head to lower woodlawn early to sorta allow myself time for a vocal check in. Also, so much for the 85 degree weather of yesterday. It started raining right as I left work this morning. Planning for a wet (final) rehearsal... Need to find my umbrella.
Oh and PS, we OPEN tomorrow! YESH!
