Art of Almost

tee: Fluxus from Nordstrom, tank: Costco, sweater: Fossil, leggings: Lululemon, shoes: Puma from The Rack
Although exhausted, I made it out to Magnuson Thursday night to catch Henry VIII and then headed home to attempt to sleep (didn't work out so well, but I sure tried)...

Win or Lose... Mostly Lose

sweatshirt: Sounders, jersey: Seahawks
Then I threw the sweatshirt and jersey on and went straight to the Hawks game (embarrassing...) and then killed some time & went to the Hard Bard show over at Seattle Center, supporting my fellow GreenStag-ers and Tempest-ers.

Girl Next Door

tee: thrifted, jeans: BDG from Urban, sweater: Express, shoes: Converse, accessories: Relic watch, silver earrings, gifted crest necklace
Worn to rehearsal today and to hangout with Dani and watch some football and catch up afterwards.  Excited I have a shorty shift tomorrow (only 9-2 w00t!). Then, no rehearsal tomorrow night, only yoga and sleepytimes before my two openers and then shooting with Don (Caliban in Tempest) on Thursday! YAY!  Terrified and also, supes excited.

It Doesn't Matter

tee: Urban, tank: Costco, jeans: Levi's, flip-flops: Columbia, accessories: gifted gold cuff bracelet, Relic watch, gifted rings, Charlotte Russe necklace, oblong gold hoops
The second day of rehearsal was good times too.  We officially started to work on specifics and I am going to be rocking "And I Will Always Love You" in the opening of the show!  w00t!  Super excited to white girl up some Whitney.

Then we headed over to the GreenStage closing party where we all just hungout and played some ping pong, drank and ate some good woodfire pizza.  Yum! Of course, now I have to admit that this summer is all over and I no longer get to run around as Ariel for the summer... Blearg.  At least I have a new show starting up!

But not before I have to knock out this 40-hour work week (here we go... at least only two are opening weekday shifts, so that's a win). I can do it! Plus, getting in to see the doctor on Fri (PIP follow up, then a massage next week?) and hopefully getting a haircut sometime this week too (seriously, it is SOOOO long)

Look After You

blouse: Anthropologie, jeans: BDG from Urban, shoes: Tom's from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Marilyn earrings
This is what I wore to my first day of rehearsal for c.1993 at Annex and final performance of The Tempest.  Ended up going out real quick Friday night with Alyssa and a friend of hers but getting home early and getting a good full night's sleep (for the first time in a long time) and it felt glorious.

La mama and the family all came to our final performance and I was so super excited to see all of their smiling faces out there in the audience.  Yay for a fab closing matinee and then a number of The Tempest cast hanging out to watch A&C and drink. Fun times.

Working Girl

blouse: Old Navy, capris: Eight-Sixty from Nordstrom, belt: thrifted, shoes: Tom's from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, long dangly silver earrings, gifted crest necklace
Worked today and it lasted soooo long.  But at least I now have three days off in a row! w00t! Loving this.

It's kinda ridiculous though because I have a show tonight, rehearsal tomorrow followed by a show and then rehearsal Sun followed by the GreenStage closing party.  Luckily though on Monday I have NO PLANS.  Next week, though I am working 40 hours at the Bux.  First time since I was hired that I am working a legit 40 (which means ALL my shifts are 8 hours long... including opening shifts on both Sat & Sun...blearg). Needless to say, I will def be enjoying the next three days off.

Ti-red. For realz.

Wore this on Saturday when I booked it to Magnuson to see A&C (YAY, sister show!  Good job!), eat awesome New Orleans BBQ and perform! Double Header!

All of Your Good Parts

top: LA Made from Nordstrom, jeans: J Brand from Nordstrom, belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction from The Rack, flats: Sam Edelmann from Loehmanns in NYC, accessories: Relic watch, gifted mini-heart necklace, oblong gold hoops
For Friday's show in Redmond (last far away performance!).

Interesting

blouse: Old Navy, skirt: H&M, leggings: Forever 21, accessories: Relic watch, giant gold disk earrings
Hokay, so... This is what I wore to both work and the show on Thursday (that is a fine lookin' outfit--ROUND! Points for anyone who remembers this reference) because that is what you have to do when you work a 9-5 shifty and then have to be at call at 530 (yeah, that didn't happen).  SUUUUPER apologies for not posting for soooo long, but I HAVE BEEN CRAZY BUSY! For cereal. I have basically only been home to sleep, shower and take pics for this blog.  But no time to actually write.

So, on that note, here are all the catch-up posts...

Projection

tank: Forever 21, sweater: borrowed, skirt: H&M, belt: H&M, boots: new Frye's from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Goody headband
Well, the weather was a little wonky, so I wore my brand new Frye's to the show!  Yay!  They are so cute and comfy.  Def glad I bought them.

The show went well.  Our first matinee, so it was a little funny to both be there in the afternoon and leave before it was all dark.  Plus we had time in the evening to, like, do shit.  That was fun.  I have to remember to eat before matinees though because holy CRAP, I was starving.  Came home and devoured half of a pizza.  YUM!  You could also tell it was the fourth show in a row at a big venue because all of our voices were super tired.  Mine needs these few days to recover for surezies.

Glad I have today off to get some rest and recover from my two-hour sleep day yesterday (I'm sure that and talking all day at my shift didn't help with the tired voice either...). I definitely need it. Gonna make sure to go to bed early again tonight (I passed out around 11 last night) so I can be all good to open manana. And five days in a row of working.  Next Sunday off! Yay!

I might even go and spend some time out in the sunshine today... we shall see...

Plucked from Obscurity

tee: Old Navy, capris: thrifted Gap, shoes: New Tom's from Nordstrom, accessories: Cost Plus leaf earrings, Relic watch, Goody headband
This morning was pretty rough, but I did it!  I feel like I leaped a hurdle today.  I mean, there has to be time where you stay out too late and just have to make it through the workday anyway. So, that's good at least.

And now, to nap for a bit before our show.  And eating, too.  That should help get me some energy.  Blearg.  At least I have tomorrow off. Yay! Then five days' work and Sunday off.

What Can You Do?

tee: OLD, shorts: Danang thrifted from Le Frock, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch
Yesterday was glorious!  The weather was beautiful!  I got to do yoga!  I got to go shopping at Nordy's (and spend all of Fri's paycheck in one go...whoops...)! I got to hangout with the roomie(s)!  I got to sit outside! And all of this was before I headed to Camp Long to rock the show.

Seriously, we had a FAB audience last night and they totes buoyed me into going to the late night of 14/48 men's weekend show, which was awesome and sorta ridic good.  But then, I made some bad choices.  Just sayin' that staying out until 3am when I have to open then next day, not the best choice.  If I didn't have a show today it would be different, but I have already worked 5 hours and now I have to gear myself up to go to our matinee all on two hours of sleep... But it was awesome catching up with people and pimping my show (the hair helps sell it) and pretending like I am a real person with normal job hours...

Here in Five

tee: H&M, shorts: Zara from Panama, shoes: Sperry Tope-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, long dangly silver earrings, Claire's headband
Leaving right now for the show.  Done and done.

Rising in the West

blouse: Old Navy, skirt: H&M, leggings: Forever 21, clogs: thrifted Danskos, accessories: Relic watch, long dangly silver earrings, Claire's flower headband
Sorta in love with this hairstyle with it all big and bouffant-y.  SOOO many compliments from my weekday regulars today.  They all thought I woke up all early to make it look GOOOD, so I clarified that and told them all about GreenStage's Tempest.  Done and Done.

No nappy for me today.  Blearg.  Stupid neighbors talking at 3pm all loud and shit.  Don't they know people are trying to sleep?!  What will they think when I am all loud at 330am, huh?  Deal with that.

Gonna take some 5-hour energy and eat some more foodzies to hopefully gimme some energy for la show tonight.  All the way in Fall City.  Blearg.  Oh wells!  Day off tomorrow, so I think we're gonna hit a dive bar post-show for drinkles.

Within Reason

tee: thrifted, jeans: current/elliot from Nordstrom, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: gifted rings, Relic watch, tribal earrings
This was one of those ridiculous days off where I actually feel like I got a TON done.  Not only did I go to yoga, but I was able to receive my UPS package and gave him mine to send back before I headed out.  Then I ran some more errands post-yoga before meeting the roomie for a late lunch/early dinner and catch-up time.  Then I went grocery shopping and cleaned up the apartment and now I am just waiting for Justine to come grab me before heading up to Lynnwood for our pick-up.  Yesh!  What a good day.

I am def gonna pass out when I get back home tonight, though.  I have a mid-shift (well, 7am) tomorrow and looooong opener on Fri, so I am just hoping we can bang out this pick-up and get outta there quickly.

Stop Waiting

tank: Maddy M from Nordstrom, shorts: Pitaya, flip-flops: Columbia, accessories: Relic watch, black hoops, gifted rings, crest necklace
After work, I rushed home to shower and change real quick before Justine grabbed me and we headed out to Magnuson for Balagan's summer show (suuuuper cute!  Yay!) and good foodzies and lots of sun times.  I actually thought I had been good and diligent with my sunscreen: bringing it, putting it on, having Justine do my back, etc...Until I realized I straight up forgot to get my chest.  So now there is a v-shape of lobster red where my tank top wasn't (and an interesting white dot where my necklace lay)... Blearg!  I spent the whole day out there and just... forgot.  Otherwise though, more sun!  More tan!  Swimming in the lake in my bra and shorts with the King Arthur cast!  So good.

Then, we all stuck together and headed out to Mercer Island to catch Wooden O's Macbeth and it was a summer show party.  A ton of GreenStagers were there from both casts and all the Wooden O peeps from Comedy as well, so we were a good audience.  It was a beautiful night and a beautiful day to have off and be able to spend seeing other summer theatre.  And all for $3.  I feel so blessed to be part of such a supportive community and I cannot wait to catch all the other summer shows too (Comedy and A&C I am lookin' at you!)

Today's the Day

dress: Maddy M from Nordstrom, sandals: Steve Madden from The Rack, belt: Forever 21, accessories: Relic watch, gifted rings, mirrored earrings
Even though today was an absolutely gorgeous day, I got to spend it inside waiting for the stupid Comcast guy.  But it was worth it because he reconnected us and now we are good to go!  Yay!  Happy pants internet!

Had today off and I'm getting ready now to head out to our Burien show and then maybe out for a bit before I get ready to open tomorrow for a little 5 hour shifty and then out to Magnuson to catch Balagan's summer show and then over to Luther Burbank for Mackers.
