In a Minute

dress: H&M, leggings: Lululemon, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Bellatrix Etsy neckace, pearl drop earrings
I wore this to what I thought would be a quick little 5.5 hour shifty and then running errands before heading to yoga, but when the second opener didn't show up, I booked it to work a little early and then got to stay longer than planned. Boom! 90 more minutes. (THANK GOD) Although skipping yoga sorta bit the big one... Oh wells. Sacrifices...

Piracy

blouse: H&M, vest: H&M, trousers: H&M, socks: Ann Taylor, boots: Frye from Nordstrom, accessories: gifted earrings, Relic watch
I wore this to my early-mid shift this morning. Clearly I leaned against something white because this was all over both these pants and the shirt I wore yesterday... No idea what it was.

Down for the Night

blouse: Old Navy, skirt: H&M, tie: borrowed form work, leggings: Lululemon, socks: American Eagle Outfitters, boots: Frye from Nordstrom, accessories: giant red hoops
I wore this to my final weekday opener (fourth 430am in a row... fourth of five openers in a row, in general). Oh thank god. I have a long-ass workday tomorrow, but I don't have to start until 6 and once that's over I get a glorious day off. Thank god, seriously. First day off after nine shifts in a row: Xmas. Haha. Good thing we're taking it easy this Xmas. PS Sorry, have not had any time to brave the post-office. CD's will be sent in the mail after Xmas. Love you!

No nap today, but after yesterday's 2.5 hour debacle (making it impossible to fall asleep last night...), I kinda think it's a good thing. After work, I ran a TON of errands, finished up Xmas CD's, packed for Xmas and the trip after and even made it to yoga for the first time this week! Oh, Fridays, I am always so motivated on you.

Helluva Day

turtleneck: H&M, skirt: H&M, leggings: Forever 21, sweater: Rubbish from Nordstrom, boots: OTBT from Nordstrom,  accessories: Relic watch, Express necklace, pearl stud earrings
I wore this to my opener yesterday and to run errands all day before yoga, foodzies and napping... which lasted an extra hour longer than I'd expected. Thank god my body woke me up at 5, else I might have missed my show... seriously. Dunno how I slept a whole extra hour, but I clearly needed it. Just glad I was able to get everything done before I had to be at the show.

Stop Waiting

tank: Maddy M from Nordstrom, shorts: Pitaya, flip-flops: Columbia, accessories: Relic watch, black hoops, gifted rings, crest necklace
After work, I rushed home to shower and change real quick before Justine grabbed me and we headed out to Magnuson for Balagan's summer show (suuuuper cute!  Yay!) and good foodzies and lots of sun times.  I actually thought I had been good and diligent with my sunscreen: bringing it, putting it on, having Justine do my back, etc...Until I realized I straight up forgot to get my chest.  So now there is a v-shape of lobster red where my tank top wasn't (and an interesting white dot where my necklace lay)... Blearg!  I spent the whole day out there and just... forgot.  Otherwise though, more sun!  More tan!  Swimming in the lake in my bra and shorts with the King Arthur cast!  So good.

Then, we all stuck together and headed out to Mercer Island to catch Wooden O's Macbeth and it was a summer show party.  A ton of GreenStagers were there from both casts and all the Wooden O peeps from Comedy as well, so we were a good audience.  It was a beautiful night and a beautiful day to have off and be able to spend seeing other summer theatre.  And all for $3.  I feel so blessed to be part of such a supportive community and I cannot wait to catch all the other summer shows too (Comedy and A&C I am lookin' at you!)

Backyard BBQ

tee: H&M, jeans: Levi's, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, gifted rings, Charlotte Russe necklace, black hoop earrings
Today was the family meet-and-greet backyard pizza party and lemme tell you, that pizza was GOOOOOOD.  I brought home three different kinds and am really excited to eat more of it.  Hello next week's dinner!

Luckily, today was absolutely beautiful, so we were able to utilize the gorgeous backyard that D&P have spent so much time fixing up this last week.  Hopefully the weather gods will smile upon us again tomorrow and let the wedding be outside!  (*fingers crossed*)

It was really nice to see all of Dad's siblings.  I don't think I've seen most of them since Jessica's wedding  more than 5 years ago and definitely not in the same room. There was some good mingling going on today.

I am chilling OUT tonight.  Reheating pizza for dinner and hanging out with my boyfriends, Netflix and the fat one.  Tomorrow I head to Redmond bright and early to rehearse my song with the accompanists (cross your fingers I can find me note from a cello & violin!) and then family pictures and the wedding!

Hipsterific

blouse: thrifted, tank: Costco, jeans: BDG from Urban NEW!, flats: Linea Paolo from  Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Charlotte Russe necklace, Forever 21 glasses, gifted rings

Fri May 13 1:34am

I’ve now tried to write this post three separate times, but since Blogger is being buggy, I am gonna just do the next best thing: write it in word to post online later.  Blearg. Seriously, I never realized how addicted I was to this blogging thing until I really wanted to post something and it started to actively thwart my attempts.   Boo on you, Blogger, you know better.

Anyways, I spent today busy, busy, busy.  Yoga’d this morning and super enjoyed the sun! Then back to la mama’s to finalize Lindy’s going away party plans, shower, pack and clean up from being there for 3.5 days (I made a bit of a mess…).  And in the packing, I realized that I have waaaaaaay more items than bags for said items to live in. Luckily since the fah-zha was picking up la mama and the seestor from the aeropuerto, I got a ride home!  Huzzah!

Then, despite numerous attempts at distraction by the fat one, I was able to unpack and reorganize my room before heading to El Gallo.  I will write more on this show later, but generally: WOW!  Anyone who is or has ever been involved in any performance aspect will relate to the story that Teatro de Ciertos Habitantes is telling here.  And all in a made up language!  So much love for this show! Seriously, see it!

After that I headed to the Hula to celebrate a friend’s bday and was encouraged to come back and sing by the staff (success!), had randoms asking my friends if I was single (awkward) and generally, having a kick-ass time singing fun (slow) songs.  Thank you Jewel and Alanis for giving me my Thursday night karaoke inspiration!

Tomorrow is a big day with the wedding rehearsal, rehearsal dinner and Lindy’s going away party!  I need my beauty sleep, thank you very much!

PS Hipster glasses are a winner!

Surrender to Pressure

sweatshirt: Lululemon, capris: Nike, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom
Took a little break from craziness yesterday and just made stew and hungout and cleaned my apartment a little bit.  Ya know, just before I have to repack and get ready for tomorrow's flight to Salt Lake with the seestor. Just a little three-day jaunt to the southwest to Mormon-town to help the seestor decide about grad school.

Today was full of yoga, laundry, tanning and even more cleaning.  Yesh!  This getting ready to go on trips thing is hard.

Fan-tastic

tee: Mariners, tank: Costco, jeans: BDG from Urban. shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, long teal earrings
Yoga'd again this morning (fourth day in a row! w00t!!!!!!) which was a different instructor who absolutely kicked my ass!  Girl had us doing endurance yoga.  I have never chaturanga'd more in my life.  But it was awesome.  Tiring (hello, sweat), but totes amazing!

Ran once more to the Vitamin D chamber (where the girl at the front desk and I had a nice little chat about what was causing the possible government shutdown and what it meant for government workers).

Had FFOK last night, which is always fun.  Met a new friend who does open mic nights at the Bad Monkey Bistro about 2 blocks from place, so I think I'll check her out next Mon. Plus she offered to play piano for me anytime I need it... no complaints!

Then tonight I'm heading to training for CatchCon tomorrow and rushing to Safeco to make it before opening pitch!  Home opener!  w00t!

Yoga'd this morning and followed it with a little bit of a Vitamin D fix.  Gonna shower and then head to a coffee shop to do some writing. I think...
