Horrific Accident

dress: H&M, leggings: Lululemon, shoes: Sperry Top-Sider from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Bellatrix Etsy necklace
I wore this to work Thursday morning. I was a little bit sunburned from the M's afternoon game the day before and therefore was kinda cautious about showing my shoulders on lunch, so I wore a 3/4-length sleeve dress... Le boo.

Freedom Guaranteed

blouse: H&M, capris: Lululemon, shoes: Toms from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, gifted mini-star necklace
I wore this to Wednesday's 530am shift and then ended up meeting up with Amelia for the 1240pm M's game! Two in a row! OK, so this time we lost, but... still it was fun!

Solidarity

tee: Griffey tee, jeans: Levi's, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from The Rack, belt: Uniqlo, accessories: Relic watch
I wore this out to meet la mama and head to the M's/Yankees game (we won!) and have our first of three mama/Gina dates for the week.

I wore this to hangout with la mama and the seestor again! Lin met me at my apt and we grabbed brunch at Skillet diner (AHMAZING!) and meet at mama's to head over to hangout with Nana for a bit before heading home to get ready for the M's game that night.

A New Hope

tee: Mariners, jeans: current/elliot from Nordstrom, belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction from The Rack, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Charlotte Russe necklace
I wore this to the M's opener. We lost, but I remembered how much I've missed baseball. And my mama. Then, I lost the tee and wore my black tank and went out with Mikaela for some funtimes!

Looking Forward

blouse: Old Navy, pants: Express, shoes: Blink from Asos, accessories: Relic watch, mirror earrings, crest necklace gifted
Yesterday was my first official long shift at work and I think I did a pretty good job of it, if I do say so myself and then went ahead and spent some more time standing and cheering for my Mariners (totes beat  the Yankees! w00t!), but now my back is killing me.

No yoga this morning because I am trying to give my back a break, but the day is beautiful, so I am sorely tempted to spend some time outside at Folklife... we shall see

Had another great interview with the other district Starbucks managers and should hopefully hear from one of the districts' people by tomorrow, which is supes exciting/nerve-racking.  I really hope that one of them offers me a job for realz.

Was able to run errands this morning and yoga'd before my interview and now I'm getting ready to meet la mama for tonight's Cinco de Mayo Mariners game!  Yay!  But, big giant boo on the rainy weather.  It was so much nicer yesterday... blearg.  Now I'm gonna change and get ready to meet her at the bus barn in about an hour...

Fan-tastic

tee: Mariners, tank: Costco, jeans: BDG from Urban. shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, long teal earrings
Yoga'd again this morning (fourth day in a row! w00t!!!!!!) which was a different instructor who absolutely kicked my ass!  Girl had us doing endurance yoga.  I have never chaturanga'd more in my life.  But it was awesome.  Tiring (hello, sweat), but totes amazing!

Ran once more to the Vitamin D chamber (where the girl at the front desk and I had a nice little chat about what was causing the possible government shutdown and what it meant for government workers).

Had FFOK last night, which is always fun.  Met a new friend who does open mic nights at the Bad Monkey Bistro about 2 blocks from place, so I think I'll check her out next Mon. Plus she offered to play piano for me anytime I need it... no complaints!

Then tonight I'm heading to training for CatchCon tomorrow and rushing to Safeco to make it before opening pitch!  Home opener!  w00t!

Counterintuitive

shirt: Express, tank: Costco, jeans: bdg from Urban, shoes: bdg from Urban, Accessory:  black beaded necklace
Friday night Carrie & I went to see The Glass Menagerie at Schmee (SO good!  Patrick rocked Tom!) and then went to celebrate Jake's bday at Teddy's off Roosevelt near Greenlake (I didn't get Peaks, although I was tempted!) and had tons of funtimes!  It was nice to see people that I hadn't seen in forever.

Saturday was spent rehearsaling, rooting for my Huskies (WON against USC--w00t!!!) and going to the M's game with my mama and seestor (lost, but what's new?).  Totally fun!  Totally busy!  An totally crashed out at, like, 11pm Saturday night.

Sunday Lindy & I went shopping for Halloween stuff (for her) and regular stuff (for both of us), which was loverly.  Haven't really been able to hangout with her (or my mama) since we went on vaca last month.  So it was nice to spend some time with both of them.  Then the seestor and I went to see The Town.  LOVED IT!  Totally good, intense.  And, hello Ben Affleck & Jeremy Renner--YUM! (Jon Hamm would be in there too, but his character was kinda a dick, so... less hot).  Plus, Ben Affleck is a great director! So, good for him!

Good weekend.  Busy weekend.  Gearing up for a busy week (with LOTS of cuts in our script!)...

Side Swept

tee: Fluxus from Nordstrom, jeans: bdg for Urban, bolero:  H&M, shoes: vintage (thrifted), accessories: black beaded necklace, ring from Argentina (thanks Dad!)

Friday, at last.  Thank the gods!  Glass Menagerie tonight with Carrie then onto Jake's bday party near my old place in Greenlake.  And tomorrow?  The WORLD (but really, it's just our first stumble through of the show, ya know, no biggie--WAIT!  OUR FIST STUMBLE THRU--HOLY CATNIP, BATMAN!!!!!!)!

My shoes are slowly dying (I heart them--thrifted in college from Red Light, I think) and I have to re-super glue the sole of the left one, but for right now it's double sided tape to the rescue!

I wanna get brunch tomorrow before rehearsal, any takers?  Portage Bay (in SLU) 9 or 930am?  So that I am well-fed and ready to rock the show?  And the M's game after?  Anyone? ...Anyone...?  Bueller?

Also, not so sure how I feel about these side-swept bangs... Thoughts?

So Long, Summer!

Misty. It's misty outside. Not quite rain, but not just overcast. Summer has (VERY briefly) come and gone. So long, summer! You will be missed...

Yesterday was loverly. I was able to check a few things off my to-do list: mani/pedi (in a new Candy-like color), massage (yeah, gonna try to get a few more of those, I'm definitely still holding onto some crap from the accident...) and celebratory (expensive!) dinner with the seestor & mama! SO GOOD! Days like yesterday make me wish I had more time off of rehearsal. Plus (and now that I've said it I won't have it anymore), I have had AMAZING bus karma the last few days! Thank you, transportation gods, you make everything easier! I will sacrifice a fan belt or fuel rod to you in the coming days for all of this good luck...

Today I am meeting up with my GreenStage girls for a drink after work at Crow (yay! finally!) and then heading up to the Hill to meet Dani and a lot of the Spelling Bee cast to go see Dr Horrible at Balagan! Super excited to see it! I've heard really good things and am pretty sure that they are all sold out(!) for the rest of their run... So glad I bought tickets when I did!

I am wearing my black floral patterned in love by 2AM tee from UO, black jolt pants & mustard Halogen sweater both from Nordys with my brown MIA boots from the Rack. I'm also rocking my giant gold medallion earrings and long black beaded necklace.

This weekend should be relatively relaxed before I start rehearsals on Sun! I have no plans on Sat... I just want to relish in that statement for a while: I. Have. No. Plans. WOW! That never happens... GLORIOUS! Sunday I think mama and I are gonna hit up the M's game and then I have the Annex meet-and-greet (YAY) at a board member's house in Columbia City (BOO)... meh... Oh wells... After Sunday, everything will be inside. At the same place. At the same time. On the Hill.

Saturday Night and Sunday Afternoon

Once I get teh internetz set up (tomorrow!) I promise weekend posts will be less sporadic, but right now, I'm writing about Saturday.

I spent a good 5 hours cleaning up my old apartment and then turned in my keys and walked home (to the new apartment!) carrying all my cleaning supplies. And I did not take a pic of that outfit... not cute, trust me...

Then I vegged for a bit before getting ready to go see Rimini Protocol at OtB where I got to play a little as an avatar for two hours--super fun! The only issue was when I "bonded" (got married) with another character and that stupid other person really wanted the stupid kids... so I ended up with a little green dot (a stupid kid) following me around for the rest of the game. And very quickly after that we "unbonded" (got divorced). That's a deal breaker, ladies!

I was, however, dressed all cute and enjoying our gorgeous weather. I was wearing my Urban screen print flower tee, scarf gifted from my Nana, H&M $6 skirt, and bright blue sheer leggings from Macys with my Jessica Simpson pink, black and white stub toe flats from Nordys.

And Sunday brought with it MORE b-e-a-utiful weather and M's game tickets. Mama didn't feel like fighting the crowds after dealing with them all day on Saturday (Pike's Place Market was apparently insane), so Lindy and I went alone. AND made new friends in the beer garden, as always. Plus they won! Two homers in a row! w00t! Then dinner with Mama for Mother's Day. Sorry no pics, I was running late, but I was wearing my Griffey tee, currentelliot boyfriend jeans and Sperry Top-Siders both from Nordys. Comfy and cool!

What's Black and White and Shiny All Over?

That would be me!

Trying out this new feature I found collaging my pictures. I've had fun playing with it. Today I am wearing my black Jolt skinnies from Nordys, black & white striped H&M tee with zipper shoulders and black sequined H&M bolero with my black BDG saddle shoes from Urban.

Only working today until noon and then heading to our first tech rehearsal! Super excited to start the process of building the show in the space. It's going to change a lot, but I definitely feel good about where we are right now (especially when I look at the two 12 hour tech days we have coming up next week). Opening night is in less than one week!

Busy weekend too! Seeing a play with Dani tonight ("Bat Boy" @ UW), yoga then cleaning out the old apartment and turning in the keys(!) tomorrow and seeing a play tomorrow night, and then Mom's day festivities on Sun (M's game with the Mama & Seestor--hopefully breaking their losing streak--get it together boys!) and possibly another play that night? Crazy times!

Mariners Home Opener

So today starts my crazy work schedule (continued for the next 5 weeks) due to rehearsal and other theatre scheduling insanity. BUT with today, I get to leave at 1pm to go to the Mariners home opener! I am already all bedecked in my Mariners gear too!

I'm (again) rockin' my new Sperrys--love them! And my Ken Griffey, jr. shirt, with my super, SUPER old grey hoodie underneath (note the completely ripped wrist areas. I think I bought this hoodie more than 10 years ago too, seriously...), light grey denim Levi skinnies and my Mariners hat.

It's overcast out today and only supposed to hit mid-50s, so I am also wearing my H&M leather jacket and I also brought a scarf just in case.

The thing that sucks is that the game starts at 3:40pm and I have to be at rehearsal at 7pm, so I probably won't be able to see the whole game... But I am hoping I get to see at least 4 full innings.
