Build on It

top: thrifted, sweater: Express, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, boots: OTBT from Nordstrom, belt: Uniqlo
Wearing so many layers for my shoot today. Seriously, so many. I knew I'd be outside for three hours and what my costume looked like, so I basically wore everything that I own that could be layered underneath. And I was still cold. But MAN was it fun times! Always fun to make new (football fan!) friends and work on a zombie apocalypse live action comic book. PLUS, found out that in the January shoot I am totally gonna die in the big fight. Anthony doesn't know how or by whom, but he is intent that my character should die before the epilogue. I am hoping it is EPIC.

Turning Point

blouse: H&M, jeans: BDG from Urban, belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction from The Rack, clogs: gifted Danskos, accessories: Relic watch, gifted crest necklace, pearl drop earrings
Worn to my long-ass shift today. Sucks working this much on a Sunday, but... le sigh. It happens. And all the rest of my shifts this week are super short (and all openers...yesh!)... Just waiting until Friday. I have a day off on Friday...

This whole week is effing insane. I open tomorrow and have a show tomorrow night. Open on Tuesday, with a voice lesson that afternoon and possibly a show to go to that night. Open on Wednesday, spend another day shooting, callback Wednesday night. Open on Thursday with a show that night. Also trying to fit in a little yoga, PT and massage smattered throughout the week. Then, Friday off with a show that night. Saturday is a shorty shift 1130-330 with c.1993 recording and then a show. Sunday is shooting for Night Zero on the ghost ramps on the 520... Yesh. This is a week... Let's hope I can get some good naps in there...

Steampunk This

scarf: gifted, sweater: Fossil, Steampunk outfit: built for me by EnJoy Productions
Yay!  Loved my hair, makeup and outfit (LOOK AT THE BOOTIES!) for the event last night. It was crazytimes and there was absolutely NO NEED for us to be there a full 7 hours early, but it happened and it was good.  It was great to meet everyone (hello, ridiculous talented actors!) and hangout for a loooooooong time.

Bear Baiting

blouse: H&M, capris: Lululemon, boots: OTBT from Nordstrom, accessories: gifted mini-heart necklace, Relic watch, teal drop earrings
I wore this to my shorty opening shift yesterday before heading to Fremont to tech thru and do the Steampunk Circus gig.  I worked for a little less than 18 hours straight yesterday.  Woah! No wonder I did nothing today...

Weirded Out

tee: Fossil, sweater: thrifted, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, belt: Uniqlo, flats: Asos, accessories: Relic watch
I wore this to dry tech for the Steampunk gala on Tuesday night... AND managed to rip my pants... awesome.

Targeted

turtleneck: H&M, jeans: BDG from Urban, belt: Uniqlo, boots: Blowfish from DSW, accessories: Relic watch, Charlotte Russe necklace, long dangly silver earrings
And this is what I wore this morning. The weather change has definitely made us busier than we were last week and lemme just say: THANK GOD.  Seriously. It was so boring.  I had little to no hours this week though and even less next week... blearg. No good. I already talked to my manager about getting more hours, but right now... nada.

And now I am getting ready to head to tech for my gig.

I'm Just a Girl

blouse: Old Navy, capris: thrifted Gap, belt: thrifted, shoes: new Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, gifted mini-heart necklace, gifted pink earrings
Well, these shoes totally ATE MY FEET.  I will be stuck wearing flip-flops for a while now.  Back to the grindstone today after a loverly day off yesterday where I literally did nothing. NOTHING. Glorious. But, unfortunately, it meant I didn't sleep very well last night... Blearg. But, at least, I got outta work a half hour earlier than I thought I was going to!

Then I headed to pilates with a different teacher than there was before and she was AWESOME.  Totally KICKED my ASS!  Def wanna go to that class again.

This afternoon I have a meeting with the costumer who is building the costumes for the Steam Punk Circus gig at the end of the month. Cannot WAIT to see those. w00t!  Gigs rock!

Then later on I am meeting with the roomie for dinner.  I have tomorrow off, though, so that's loverly.  Plus the seestor is coming into town tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get to hangout with her! And I have a massage tomorrow and wanna go to yoga before I meet up with the fam.

Beyond Everything

tee: thrifted, tank: Costco, sweater: gifted Rubbish from Nordstrom, jeans: J Brand from Nordstrom, shoes: BDG from Urban. accessories: gifted ring, Relic watch, Charlotte Russe necklace, silver drop earrings
Yoga'd this morning and then headed to Bed, Bath & Beyond with la mama and seestor where I got to see them both before they took off on their road trip to Provo tomorrow and I was even able to buy some brand new bedding!  And I think it looks super good, if I do say so myself!

I'm about to head out to grab early dinner and happy hour drinks with Jess and Aine and then head to the Hill for NCT's O Lovely Glowworm.  I've heard good things, so I am excited.  Then an early night since I am meeting Carolyn early tomorrow for breakfast before the Night Zero shoot and Merry Wives tomorrow night and then over to la mama's to take care of the Bug.  Whew...

It's a New Year

louse: gifted, tank:  Costco, jeans: BDG for Urban, boots: Steve Madden, accessories:  gifted bejeweled bracelet, ring from Nordstrom, thrifted pearl necklace, pearl drop earrings
So, part of my New Year's resolutions are to save money and that includes on public transportation, so that part of my resolution means that I am going to be walking more.  Good thing too for those days I am not at all inclined to workout.  Should all end up evening out.  But today was FREEZING and my walk felt extra super long.  (BONUS of walking: I can make up the time if I am late by picking up the pace!  It's a win-win!)

New Year's Eve was fun!  The two girls who were Playboy Bunnies on the second night of the first Mad Men party were the go-go dancers on NYE so I actually knew people too!  That was an unexpected and exciting. Also because they are both awesome.  So, I made some money (plus a tip--w00t!) and hungout with fun people and got to be Joan again.  Awesome!

Both New Year's Day and yesterday (day after New Year's Day?) I gloriously did very little.  Went over to the mama's and had black eyed peas and cornbread (for good luck) and hung out and watched movies and picked up my new Bose ipod/computer speakers (which are AMAZING!  Seriously!  They make movies sound incredible) and yesterday I legit did nothing all day.  Hungout with the cat(z) and watched (a ridic amount of) movies.  Lazy vacation FTW!

I have to admit part of me is incredibly happy to be back at work and in the general swing of things, but the other part wants to still be home in my comfy warm bed... I only have 2 more weeks, though, so... Can't REALLY complain (and only 2 more days before I start training...yesh...)

Happy Holiday Bowl!

tee: Husky Holiday Bowl gifted, sweater: Rubbish from Nordstrom gifted (thanks seestor!), pants: jolt from Nordstrom, boots: Zigi Soho from DSW, accessories: purple bracelets, mirror earrings
Half day at work today!  Then stopping by the UW to pick something up from housing.  Then Dani's for Holiday Bowl goodness (on her new TV)!  And tomorrow... sweet glorious nothing (but helping mama set up her new TV and getting my new Bose stereo system--w00t!) until I go be Joan for a few hours.  I had a dream last night that I showed up to the party as Joan, and everyone left.  It was sad. But not real, so that's good.  Plus, it made the party get over around, like, 3pm so I was able to join Dani & friends for NYE in Sumner.  Oh, brain, you are hilarious sometimes...

Last night Mikaela, Dani & I went to see True Grit and... seriously, SO GOOD! Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Maddie, was ridic good.  Standing on par with Matt Damon, Jeff Bridges and Josh Brolin as a 14-year-old.  Disgustingly perfectly cast.  What surprised all three of us was how small Josh Brolin's part actually was though.  He is mentioned/talked about throughout the movie, but his actual screentime is very limited.  Kinda cool to be such a huge presence in the story without actually being there all that much. And god, I heart Jeff Bridges (Hey, and PS who hates him?  I KNOW I had this convo with someone recently.  Because seriously, you are so wrong. He is brillz).  Swear to you, you could only understand about half of what he said (you're gonna want the subtitles on for this one, mama), but it totes worked with the character.  My only complaint is that the last 10 minutes really seemed to belong to a different movie.  It seemed weird and long and totally unnecessary.  Don't get me wrong, I loved that things got effed, that shizz went down, but it just seemed to turn the movie into something else entirely and really randomly... Other than that, totes good (dad, you will love it).  Definite recommendation.

Also, randomly, when I came home from the movie guess who was under my bed? Not my cat, oh no, HE was on the roomie's down blanket on the couch. The little rabbit mewed and peeked her little head out from under the bed and then proceeded to hangout in my room for a bit.  So whatevs, they are clearly getting accustomed to each other.  Just a little bit unexpected is all... but good for her.

Sorted

tunic: Fluxus from Nordstrom, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, sweater: Express, boots: Chinese Laundry,  accessories: mirror earrings, long black beaded necklace
I am exhausted.  Got home from my first marathon to make 3 cd's and now... I just have 30 min of work before I can head to QFC to buy wrapping paper, wrap all my presents, pack, (attempt to) relax for a bit, and then head over to MI to do it ALL OVER AGAIN...

All I want is to be able to sleep in tomorrow.  And I cannot... I needz sleeeeeep...
