Truth Hurts

I wore this to my (FIRST EVER) closer on Sunday night. Went great and would have been fine, but... it was Superbowl Sunday (le boo) and I completely missed the game (LE BOOOOO) AND I had to open on Monday (LEEEEEEEE BOOOOOOOOO)...

But now I have done it! And I do it again this Sunday. Significantly less daunting now.

Voodoo

I wore this for the drive/ferry ride home from the Coast and to go see Shame (AMAZING MOVIE!) with the seestor and to watch the Alamo Bowl (GO DAWGS!) with la mama and the seestor tonight. I head back into the work sched with a 9 hour day tomorrow (and then some shopping? Mayhaps!) and a long day on Sat & Sun as well... le boo. Hoping to have a day off early next week... But we shall see...

Window Blues

Gearing up to head to the 3rd and Pike holiday/Kayla's going away party at a co-workers house tonight. Tomorrow is also the only shift in my nine-days straight that is not an opener, so good timing, party, good timing.

Tomorrow night I head over to la mama's to dog-/housesit for three days and then tomorrow night is cheapy Chinese food, catching up and crazy times theatre with Carolyn! Followed by another opener with a doctor's appointment and yoga thrown in followed by another opener with a massage & some good theatre starring a great friend followed by another opener followed by some more yoga and possibly a new roomie(!), followed by another opener (and some death), followed by another opener and (possibly?) some Xmas Eve Hawks football? Let's cross our fingers on that one...

LONG ASS WEEK! But I am excited to have some fun times thrown in there.

I wore this yesterday to my opener and thank god (for my sanity, not my bank account) that I was let go a little early because I was exhausted. I think the insanity of Black Friday had completely zapped me, so after the shift a nap was definitely in order before meeting la mama and the seestor at the Ram to watch some Apple Cup action (3 wins in a row baby!).

Wearing so many layers for my shoot today. Seriously, so many. I knew I'd be outside for three hours and what my costume looked like, so I basically wore everything that I own that could be layered underneath. And I was still cold. But MAN was it fun times! Always fun to make new (football fan!) friends and work on a zombie apocalypse live action comic book. PLUS, found out that in the January shoot I am totally gonna die in the big fight. Anthony doesn't know how or by whom, but he is intent that my character should die before the epilogue. I am hoping it is EPIC.

Then I had plans to join Dani at Spitfire for the second half of the Husky game, but we were losing soooo badly and my left contact was turning me into Terminator (it was even in the correct eye), that I bailed... And took a little breaky before heading to the show.

This was my opening night outfit!  It went SOOOOO well!  I am beyond excited to work on this show for the next five weeks!  Tonight I am meeting one of my castmates at Auto Battery to watch the first bit of the Husky/Stanford game (HUGE GAME) before heading back to do it all again! And then tomorrow I work my first opening shift in a loooong time before meeting with the roomie to chat about the apartment.  Next week, I house sit for la mama!

Wore this one to rehearsal and my callback today.  I have an opener tomorrow and then am getting ready for another audition before heading back to la mama's to take care of the Bug (I am currently watching Sun Night Football. God, I heart weekends in the fall). I took her for a little walky right when I got over here and about... five min after we got back it started POURING.  Thank the gods for good timing! w00t!

Wore this after an AWESOME Husky victory over to my friends' bday party!  YAY! (Not gonna talk about the last minute time management decisions by Carroll that just lost the Hawks a victory... focus on the Huskies, Gina).  It's always good to see UW friends. I miss them and I heart them.

Wore this to my opener this morning.  LOVED getting a ride to work from my shift.  Those extra 15 minutes of sleep were loverly...

First part of the shift went by super quickly.  We weren't even that busy for a long bit but good people and pretty consistent customers was great.  And then... right before the Hawks game and Obama's speech we got CRAZY for about two hours.  But once the game started... nada.  Soooooo boring... blearg. But that's how weekends go.

Tomorrow I work a 8-2 and then have my first PT appointment... I am a little bit nervous, but also hopeful that it will help this awful injury to start to clear up a bit. I'm sure the intense arm movements in both the dance numbers of c.1993 are not helping either (one is all ballroom dance-y and the second is basically Janet Jackson's "If" video--check it out starting at 3:01, so yeah... a TON of arm stress).  Plus barista-ing and yoga? No wonder I'm still a little effed... Le sigh.

Then, no rehearsal tomorrow night, only yoga and sleepytimes before my two openers and then shooting with Don (Caliban in Tempest) on Thursday! YAY!  Terrified and also, supes excited.

Worn to this morning's opening and then to drinks/late lunch with a co-worker.  Yay!  All caught up!  Tonight I have SuttonBeresCuller at OtB (first show of the season) and tomorrow I open, rush home to hear the end of the Husky game/get ready to head over to Washington Hall to perform at Annex's 25th Anniversary Gala (think I'm gonna rock the Joan dress) where I will be singing a snipet of "And I Will Always Love You" (I've been practicing!) and then Sunday I have the day off work and rehearsal at Annex from 12-430 with no work until 9am the next day--w00t! Long weekend, but it should be good.
