Wore this to my opener this morning. And it was crazy. There were only three of us for about four hours and we constantly had a line that whole time. I wasn't even able to take my lunch until almost 11 (usually I take it around 7)... Plus it was one of my fav co-worker's last day at our store (she's transferring to where she can train to be an ASM)... sad panda...

I work a early-mid tomorrow, open Saturday and have Sunday off, but have Producers callbacks in Issaquah, so most of my day will be spent up there... I might catch a show tomorrow night and maybe one on Sunday... we shall see...

Turning Point

Worn to my long-ass shift today. Sucks working this much on a Sunday, but... le sigh. It happens. And all the rest of my shifts this week are super short (and all openers...yesh!)... Just waiting until Friday. I have a day off on Friday...

This whole week is effing insane. I open tomorrow and have a show tomorrow night. Open on Tuesday, with a voice lesson that afternoon and possibly a show to go to that night. Open on Wednesday, spend another day shooting, callback Wednesday night. Open on Thursday with a show that night. Also trying to fit in a little yoga, PT and massage smattered throughout the week. Then, Friday off with a show that night. Saturday is a shorty shift 1130-330 with c.1993 recording and then a show. Sunday is shooting for Night Zero on the ghost ramps on the 520... Yesh. This is a week... Let's hope I can get some good naps in there...

Wore this to my little shorty shift today. How is it that when you have a short shift (or workday or work  week or whatever) they seem like they are the loooongest. Seriously. It was awful. Glad to be home and relax a bit.

Wore this to my opener this morning.  LOVED getting a ride to work from my shift.  Those extra 15 minutes of sleep were loverly...

First part of the shift went by super quickly.  We weren't even that busy for a long bit but good people and pretty consistent customers was great.  And then... right before the Hawks game and Obama's speech we got CRAZY for about two hours.  But once the game started... nada.  Soooooo boring... blearg. But that's how weekends go.

Tomorrow I work a 8-2 and then have my first PT appointment... I am a little bit nervous, but also hopeful that it will help this awful injury to start to clear up a bit. I'm sure the intense arm movements in both the dance numbers of c.1993 are not helping either (one is all ballroom dance-y and the second is basically Janet Jackson's "If" video--check it out starting at 3:01, so yeah... a TON of arm stress).  Plus barista-ing and yoga? No wonder I'm still a little effed... Le sigh.

Worked this morning and it was exhausting.  I kept telling coworkers that I felt like I was a roller-coaster of energy.  I started with TONS of energy and went down. Then up. Then down. Then up. Then down... anyways.  Super tired. Didn't sleep real well last night either. (I always know I'm tired when I can't stay awake when I am catching up on the previous night's Daily Show & Colbert Report--guilty this afternoon of passing. out.)

Luckily, I talked to my manager and there is another partner at another store looking for opening hours who is gonna pick up my shift 430-7 tomorrow, so that I can come in and work the last 5 hours and get a little bit more sleep tonight. Thank the gods!

Getting SUUUUPER excited to watch tonight's pre-season Seahawks game with la mama! FOOTBALL!!!!!!!! GAH!  I hate the end of summer, but BOY do I love that football is gonna start up again soon! It is, by far, my fav sport.

The Road Ahead

Whew! Well, the biggest news is that I am now all enrolled to start getting medical/dental benefits starting in September! w00t!  Only one more uninsured month! Done and done.

Work was HARD today.  I kept waking up in the middle of the night thinking I was late for work for whatever reason.  For cereal. What the crap?! Oh wells.  No nap today either.  Doing the laundry and schtuff (um, filling out paperwork from the 'Bux, from the accident, for the seestor...)

Plans are to hit up yoga in a couple hours and then come home and pass out.  I work at 515 tomorrow, at a DIFFERENT 'Bux for the first time ever!  I told my manager that I felt like I had graduated.  That I was a big kid now.  Which is super awesome.  We shall see how this all goes.

Sorta in love with this hairstyle with it all big and bouffant-y.  SOOO many compliments from my weekday regulars today.  They all thought I woke up all early to make it look GOOOD, so I clarified that and told them all about GreenStage's Tempest.  Done and Done.

No nappy for me today.  Blearg.  Stupid neighbors talking at 3pm all loud and shit.  Don't they know people are trying to sleep?!  What will they think when I am all loud at 330am, huh?  Deal with that.

Gonna take some 5-hour energy and eat some more foodzies to hopefully gimme some energy for la show tonight.  All the way in Fall City.  Blearg.  Oh wells!  Day off tomorrow, so I think we're gonna hit a dive bar post-show for drinkles.

Oh man... So tired.  Although a ridic fun day at work today.  I opened with some of my fav peoples and it was busy enough to make the time go by, but not sooooo crazy that I couldn't get my stock & prep work done.  Then I got to get off a bit early so that I could make it to yoga on time!  Yay!

Had all these plans for yesterday and ended up making it a complete do-nothing day.  I caught up on Hulu from when I hadn't had internet last week (not that I would have had the time...) and laid around in my PJ's all day for the first time in... I dunno how long.  Then I went to bed at, like, 9.  It was glorious.

Since I have tomorrow off work, I am thinking about hitting up a movie for tonight and am now just hoping someone will wanna join me... Captain America, anyone?

I totes forgot to mention this yesterday, but the GreenStage v Wooden O softball game was awesome and totally frustrating.  We totes should have won both games and it pisses me off (especially the 12-year-old UBER competitive boy inside of me) that we didn't. Blearg.  But, I was apparently very amusing to watch because I got so into it (despite the lack of skill). Plus, for every beer I had, my competitiveness (and loudness) went up about 10-points.  So. Much. Fun. Now I'm even MORE bummed I didn't get to play last year.

Rehearsal was cancelled for tonight, so I don't even feel guilty at ALL about heading to Chateau Ste Michele with la mama & the seestor to see the Sarah McLachlan concert.  Bummed I have another 8-hour opening shift tomorrow though... Would be nice to sleep in a bit after going out tonight and to be able to enjoy some wine. Oh wells!  I'm just glad I get a night off to have a little bit of fun!

Opened this morning, but it was at 6:30 instead of 4:30, so I'm kinda OK with it.  I mean, when I woke up at 3:30 this morning and was able to think, "haha!  I get to sleep in for two more hours!" that was definitely a win. But I DO have to wake up that early tomorrow. Le Boo.

Excited for today's show after it went soooo well last night and everyone told me I was great and looked really good in my costume (diet, FTW!) and it feels like the show has really come together and is something that we are gonna have a blast doing this all summer.

Also, getting excited for some days off.  And starting to audition like a crazy again.  I have one tomorrow (that I might cancel, purely because I am unprepared and I'm honestly not sure I wanna work with the company), one on Tues, a callback on Thurs... Yesh!  I better get something lined up for September. I wanna keep working! 

PLUS!  Next week is Harry Potter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH! Excitement! And I have tix to Aladdin on Tues and the Sounders game next Sat!  Fun times, and...GO!

Long day of work today, but we were supes busy, so at least it went by quickly.  Yesterday, Justine and I had a marathon day of hanging out and it was great. We just ran errands and ate good food and talked. Yay for girl time!

Rehearsals are winding down and last night was the first time in costume and well, let's just say I have some work to do in that respect... The makeup and hair were both a little bit wonky last night. They will be better tonight, though...

Getting ready to walk all the way up the hill to Volunteer Park (does not make sense to bus it, but BOY is it a WALK) for rehearsal.  We're starting to head to different parks to do rehearsals, which is always the first step to TECH.  We open a week from today!  Yesh!
