My Little China Doll

tee: Pitaya, sweater: Cardigan NYC, jeans: H&M, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from The Rack, accessories: Relic watch
Yeah, this is what I look like when I'm wearing Princess makeup/pin-curled hair pre-outfit and blonde wig... A little nuts, I know, but I had to get to SALLY & THOR before it closes and needed to be ready to go straight to my show from there. And the end result is me looking a little nutty. For a long-ass time.

Change the Debate

tee: H&M borrowed, tank: Costco, sweater: Cardigan NYC, jeans: borrowed Citizens of humanity, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom
I wore this to the show last nite.  It was a good show. A little bit of a small & quiet audience, but they were good and we did good. We weren't as shakey coming back from our 4 days off as I think we all imagined that we would be, so that's always good.

I just wish I hadn't had to open this morning. Luckily, sleep came easy after my crazytimes day yesterday, so my 7.5 hour shift this morning wasn't too painful.

There Will Be DRAMA

tee: Pitaya, tank: Costco, sweater: Cardigan NYC, jeans: J Brand from Nordstrom, boots: Zigi Soho from DSW,  accessories: drop earrings made by one of my castmates as an opening night gift
Oh the dramz, the dramz, the dramz.  What was supposed to be a relaxing day at home quickly became a busy, busy little day.  Short time with the roomie this morning before heading off to the apple store to get (another!!!!) power cord, but of course, when I got there the stupid thing worked again, so the guy explained some things and sent me off... After some shopping (Sephora, H&M, etc), I ran into Starbucks right before I left the mall just to make sure that the power cord still worked, and OF COURSE, it didn't. So, I ran back to the apple store and the guy took another look at it and this time, there was no change the thing straight up didn't work, so he gave me a new one for free (thank GOD) and now all is well... yesh... but it took a ten minute fix into a two hour extravaganza

Also, never thought I'd say this with a straight face, but I bought a jean vest today.  Oh, yes.  I almost grabbed it and brought it into the fitting room almost as a joke, but I loved it!  It's cute and casual (and I think I'll wear it tonight) and pretty damn unique.  I also bought a skirt that's pretty cute.  Thanks, H&M, occasionally I find some great stuff in you.

It's A New Dawn

tank: Costco, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, sweater: Cardigan NYC, boots: Zigi Soho from DSW
It started today!  I am officially a paid professional actor!  For realzies! It was exciting.  We just did a read through and talked about theme and what we were thinking about for basic ideas of the show, but it was the first step and it felt like a great first step.  Super excited to get into this character and this world.  I think the whole thing is gonna be an absolute blast.  Also, found out I am gonna get to be in more than just Lucy's scenes which is great.

Last night the sister and I headed over to Thai foodz and to see Blue Valentine after my Aladdin audition (which totally ROCKED--was complimented on how well I sang--w00t!) and Blue Valentine was ridic. AMAZING performances by both Michelle Williams and Ryan Gosling and totally and completely heartbreaking, seriously hard to watch at some points, but beautiful too.  I would definitely recommend it, but you have to be in the right mood to enjoy that movie for sure.

Tomorrow is another day of rehearsal!  Yay!  And since we got out early today I got to get over to yoga before heading home tonight.

Sound Off

turtleneck: H&M, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, cardigan: Cardigan NYC, boots: Zigi Soho from DSW
God, these are terrible pictures.  Seriously. Awful.  Almost wasn't gonna post, but you know.  Hey, it's snowing right now!  I even got to go to yoga and get home before it really started coming down hard.  Rock on, weather gods!  Well timed and well played.  Now I am making homemade soup and sitting with a kitteh on my lap.

...3 days...

Christmas Eve Eve

tee: HBO Store, sweater: Cardigan NYC, jeans: J Brand from Nordstrom, boots:  Zigi Soho from DSW
Shopping yesterday was pretty funny.  Mom needed to shop for Lindy & me, but didn't want to do it last night. Lindy needed to shop for Mom & me, but Mom didn't want us to split up.  And I was all done with my shopping.  So, we ended up grabbing a drink/apps at Il Fornaio, meandering around Pac Place and into Nordstrom where mama got a cute new coat for Chicago and Lindy split off to pick up the gifty we'd picked out for mama and eventually meeting back in shoes, deciding we were done shopping and heading to Ruth's Chris for apps, salads and drinks in the bar. It was more 3-girls time than anything else.  And it was totally fun!

I get off work today at 1 and then have no plans.  I might help mama out with her shopping.  Or just hangout at home.  Or go to yoga.  But I am for sure spending the night at mama's and Lindy and I are gonna watch Toy Story 3 (finally came in Netflix--yay!!!!).  This whole Xmas season has been very different, so I am excited to see what Xmas Eve & day have in store...

Kitteh-watch 2010 update: Tybs seems to be getting territorial.  Low meowing and a face-off this morning.  Hissing from Fran from in the closet.  Fran retreated up on top of the suitcases.  Tybs retreated behind the blue chair. Left them both out in the open for the day.  Will assess damage at 13:30...

Send In The Clowns

tee: Bitten by SJP, sweater: Cardigan NYC, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, boots: Blowfish from DSW
Well, the 10.5 hour work week last week has really made the prospect of a full 40 hour week seem nothing but daunting... Plus, I am exhausted.  I was supposed to do all these things yesterday, but I totally ended up being a bum all day (which was loverly, but still).  But looking back on the week prior it makes sense.  I  might not have been at work all that much but I sure was a busy little bee...  So, I think I deserved a day off!

Not that this week is going to be any calmer... I have our post-mortem for Money tonight, hopefully hitting up yoga either tomorrow or Wed and getting a hair cut/color somewhere in there and also trying to see "Dancing at Laughnasa" at the Rep on Wed night.  Plus, I have a massage on Thurs, Hair with Lindy & mama on Fri, the Stocking Stuffer party Sat night and Daddy Natty's Thanksgiving on Sun... WHEW!  OK, Christmas season, I'll admit that you're here, just gimme some more snow to get me in the mood please! kthxbye!

PS I am totally in the mood to start watching all my Xmas movies.  I want a It's a Wonderful Life/The Family Stone/Love Actually/Charlie Brown Christmas/A Christmas Story marathon STAT!

Running Errands

tee: kimchi blue for Urban, pants: jolt from Nordstrom, sweater: Cardigan NYC, boots: ZigiSoho from DSW
Whoops!  Guess I didn't press "post" yesterday, so here's what I had written...

Today was supposed to be full of running errands, but when I got to the Apple store, they literally handed me a new power cord easy as pie and now I'm just waiting for Jess to get here and then we're going to pick up my Mary Poppins outfit!  Since I was outta the Apple store by 1115, I have been shopping ever since!  Already bought a new poncho at H&M, picked up some makeup at Sephora, new undies at the Victoria's Secret sale, Trophy cupcakes as a gifty to the roomie AND I even got a stocking stuffer for the mamacita!  I would say today has been a success!  I (finally) have an optical appt at Costco later this afternoon and, of course, I forgot my glasses...and then I'm heading over to the show...  BUSY DAY!  Plus, it's two of my castmates' birthdays today so we are gonna go out post-show...

Crazytimes!

Last night's show was the best one we've had so far, for me, at least.  OOh!  Jess is here!  Time to go get my Mary Poppins on!

Taking My Own Advice

tee: GreenStage 2010, sweater: Cardigan NYC, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, boots: Steve Madden
My shirt, although you cannot tell, says "go see a play" which, ironically, is exactly what I am going to do tonight after work!  Yay for industry night discounts!  And yay for Evil Dead: The Musical!  Super excited to continue the insanity of Halloween for another night!  And with Dani--w00t!  I just wish it wasn't so utterly MISERABLE out there today... I need to run errands at lunch and there is NO part of me that wants to deal with the monsoon that had converged on Seattle... Blearg!

Seriously, could have used another day off... This weekend was crazypants and I am still exhausted.  Although sushi last night with the mama & seestor was awesome!  New sushi place FTW!  Plus I was able to get them to stop by & let me pick up some kitteh foodz & litter on the way home!  Yay for car!

Also, supes excited about doing nothing tomorrow after work.  Yoga be damned!  I need another day of rest!  And I get a massage on Wed--thank GOD! Good things are happening.

Also, send me good vibes because I got my Threepenny schedule and will be talking to my boss about it probably after lunch...
