I wore this out tonight to catch two of my friends perform in the solo performance festival and then grab some drinks and good bad Chinese food (and karaoke) in the ID. Good times. Great shows. My friends are so talented. And now, to start writing my one woman show. Quick! What can I write about... GO!

Biggest Thing Ever

I wore this to my rehearsal today and then straight over to my audition. Rehearsal would have been aweseome if I'd only been able to be there for longer... We were learning flamenco and I could only stay for about a half-hour... le boo.

Hopefully, I get this cast in the show I left for... If I don't, well... it's my last summer show audition, so I'd have the summer off, which could be nice, I guess. It would be the first time in two years... We shall see...(keep your fingers crossed for me! I really want it!)

Plus the day was so nice and sunny! It was loverly!

This was my opening night outfit!  It went SOOOOO well!  I am beyond excited to work on this show for the next five weeks!  Tonight I am meeting one of my castmates at Auto Battery to watch the first bit of the Husky/Stanford game (HUGE GAME) before heading back to do it all again! And then tomorrow I work my first opening shift in a loooong time before meeting with the roomie to chat about the apartment.  Next week, I house sit for la mama!

Worn to tonight's rehearsal.  We got out early and it was loverly.  Excited to work a normal hour shift tomorrow and see Mary Stuart with Dani tomorrow night.  Yay for plans!

Rehearsal on Saturday and seeing a show (not sure what show yet--too many options right now!) with Ali that night and possibly another show late night, but ya know, I open Sun, so maybe not.  Kinda depends on how I feel.

And now you see why I needed to tame my hair for work this morning.  It literally looks like I stuck my finger in a light socket.  If I can tell you one thing, it's that there will be a shower taken tonight to wash all this crap outta my hair before I head back to work tomorrow.  Yesh.  Not gonna lie, I kinda love it.  Just a LITTLE too much... but barely.

Just had about a hour long Skype chat with the seestor this afternoon and it made me SOOO happy!  I miss her and cannot wait for seestor time when she comes home in a week-and-a-half!  COME HOME NOW!

Getting ready to head to call for the last show of opening weekend!  Cannot believe that we are already open and about to head into our third (of 20) show(s)! WOW!  Time goes by faaaaast.

Big plans for today which didn't all come to fruition... Work, of course, happened for my little shorty shift, but oddly, I was waaaaaaaay more tired today when I started at 11am than when I usually start at 430.  Dunno if it was the coffee, lack of sleep or my body just getting in the the waking up early groove but it was an interesting challenge...

Then, just as I was getting ready to leave and head to la mama's for bday (cheating) sushi, she texted me to say that we have to reched because her knee was bugging her, so I just went over there instead and made dinner (yummy turkey burgers on a bed of mixed greens, tomato, and onion for me and avocado for the mama) and watched some Food Network.  It was good, but now I can't wait until next Sat for real birthday sushi!

Then, I was supposed to go to Stephanie's going away thing, but it felt so good to just hangout and do nothing for once this weekend that I bailed.  Plus I felt like I was helping la mama and I miss her, so it was nice to hang out with her and the Bug.

I have tomorrow off, but have an audition at 1:50 for Book-It, so no yoga.  I will, however, be sleeping in, working the monologue and then just relaxing and enjoying my day off before heading to rehearsal.

Yesterday was my first official long shift at work and I think I did a pretty good job of it, if I do say so myself and then went ahead and spent some more time standing and cheering for my Mariners (totes beat  the Yankees! w00t!), but now my back is killing me.

No yoga this morning because I am trying to give my back a break, but the day is beautiful, so I am sorely tempted to spend some time outside at Folklife... we shall see

Let's Do It Again

Well, I'm about to head to day 2 of training at Starbucks and this time I am ready for the sun!  After voice yesterday, I ended up meeting up with Dad and getting to say goodbye to the last bit of family that was still here from the wedding before just sitting on the back porch and soaking up the sun with Dad & the puppers.  It was pretty loverly.

I've been trying to go to bed earlier to get my body used to it since I start work at 430am tomorrow and I have no idea how I am going to do this... Early for me right now means 11 or 1130 and that only gives me about 4 or 4.5 hours of sleep (def not enough for my body).  Tonight I think I am gonna aim for 9 (HA!) and we'll see how that works.  Tomorrow afternoon there will definitely be nappage.  MAJOR nappage.

Fly Away Home

Today is my day off and I am honestly not sure what I am going to do after I have my voice lesson in a little less than an hour.  I am gonna be in the U District, so I might just find a park and read, enjoying the sunshine, or I might hit the Metro and catch some movies.  I am bringing my ballet stuff just in case I end up hanging out down there for a long time...

I also called my Dad and am hoping maybe we can get together or something today?  It's really up in the air... In reality, I will probs to my voice lesson, do a little (window) shopping and then head home and hangout on my own if I don't hear anything from the fah-zha...

Very happy I don't have to be at work until 10 tomorrow... One more day of sleeping in before I try my hand at my first (of many, I am sure) opening shift...

About to head out to Jacki's wedding rehearsal this afternoon... Then the rehearsal dinner followed by Lindy's Going Away Party & Limo EXTRAVAGANZA! tonight (to be known henceforth as LGAP&LE!).

So happy I got to yoga today (and got everything else in the world done as well--successful morning FTW!) because it kicked me in the butt about 10 times.  We did a little yoga-lates and lemme tell you yogalates schmogalates.  They should call that thing kills-your-abs-a-lot-es because for cereal they are already crying, so tomorrow?  Yesh.  I'm gonna be useless.  My abs were so sore by the end of class that I could barely sit up.  It was bad, but a good bad...
