Check it! I look like a human being again! The lip & chin look almost healed! YAY! After my shower yesterday, I looked so much better. In less than 1 week too. I even wore lipstick at the show and it looked all normal. Feel so much better now.

Just hoping it all heals and I look as good as new in no time (or else have some bad ass scars).

Worn to rehearsal yesterday night. There was dancing and TONS of work and after my first PT appointment (where he led me to realize that my entire mid-back is suuuuper weak and so, we are clearly gonna work on that.

Plus, between work as a barista all day, yoga/pilates and all the dance we're doing in c.1993 rehearsals no effing WONDER my arm is bugging me so much...

Gonna wear this guy to my rehearsal tonight.  I napped, but not particularly well and am now worried I am gonna be all tired for both rehearsal tonight and work tomorrow. Le boo.  Oh wells.  Comes with the territory, I guess.  Just concentrating on Thursday off.  PLus, massage after work tomorrow!  YAY!

Sorta in love with this hairstyle with it all big and bouffant-y.  SOOO many compliments from my weekday regulars today.  They all thought I woke up all early to make it look GOOOD, so I clarified that and told them all about GreenStage's Tempest.  Done and Done.

No nappy for me today.  Blearg.  Stupid neighbors talking at 3pm all loud and shit.  Don't they know people are trying to sleep?!  What will they think when I am all loud at 330am, huh?  Deal with that.

Gonna take some 5-hour energy and eat some more foodzies to hopefully gimme some energy for la show tonight.  All the way in Fall City.  Blearg.  Oh wells!  Day off tomorrow, so I think we're gonna hit a dive bar post-show for drinkles.

Well, I just got back from work and shopping for a bridal shower gift for Jenna's shower tomorrow and getting thai foodz cause I was hungry... and life is good.

I was luckily scheduled perfectly for a) if I get called back for Midsummer (audition went super well, fingers crossed I get the callback!) and b) my scheduled dentist appt and massage on Wed!  Yay!  Getting things done!

I have all opening shifts next week, but most of them are half or 3/4 days (only one opening 8-hour shift) and it looks like I will be able to hit up some yoga next week--w00t!

I had a customer today ask me if I was Marilyn Monroe's daughter because, apparently, I look like her and I am wearing the earrings.  Random, but awesome.

Heading back to work today was weird at first.  It took about a half-hour (during the rush, of course) for my body to remember how to do everything after the 2 days off... bizarro.

Super happy that it's supposed to be so nice this weekend.  I just hope I get to enjoy some of it.

Fly Away Home

Today is my day off and I am honestly not sure what I am going to do after I have my voice lesson in a little less than an hour.  I am gonna be in the U District, so I might just find a park and read, enjoying the sunshine, or I might hit the Metro and catch some movies.  I am bringing my ballet stuff just in case I end up hanging out down there for a long time...

I also called my Dad and am hoping maybe we can get together or something today?  It's really up in the air... In reality, I will probs to my voice lesson, do a little (window) shopping and then head home and hangout on my own if I don't hear anything from the fah-zha...

Very happy I don't have to be at work until 10 tomorrow... One more day of sleeping in before I try my hand at my first (of many, I am sure) opening shift...

Heading to help out the seestor in her packing for school soon.  She's leaving in less than 1 week and it makes me sad pants, so I'm just trying to get as much time in with her as possible.

Bummed that today is not as gorgeous as yesterday.  It was so sunny and loverly and today, of course, the rain returns.  Blearg.  Dislike button.  I am so ready for summer weather.  Come on, Seattle, let's do this ish!

Back On My Legs

Well, managed to throw my perfume bottle on my lip which is now bleeding.  Awesome.  Good start to my first day-off where I am actually getting up and going somewhere.  Sucks.

But seriously, Jess and I are grabbing dinner after I run a few errands and then I am going to have a nice relaxing night at home (quite a change of pace, right? haha). I know I have been super lazy, but I have no complaints.  It was loverly to not have to do anything for three days and we have 6 shows this weekend, so I am gearing up for that insanity.

Forever Young

Whole run through today and it's always nice to see everything coming together.  A little bummed that I will probably be missing at least the first half of the Superbowl tomorrow since it starts at 3:30 and we don't get outta rehearsal until 4.  Then I will be rushing to la mama's to catch the second half of the game.

Then Dani and I are gonna go something tomorrow night and Monday the plan is to get a massage (yay!) and haircut and then see the seestor and possibly get out to see the last of the best picture oscar noms, The Fighter.

Busy, busy, busy.  And next Wednesday we are in the space.  Thank god!

Rehearsal again today (getting used to this!) started early (10am--haha), which gave me 3 hours in the middle of the day to work on character stuff and Brecht-ness, etc. It was great getting some time to really nail Lucy and work on the dialect (she's gonna be RP--except when I sing the Jealousy Duet, then I think I'll go a little Cockney, but that might change).  I have to remember that my job does not end with rehearsal.  I have a lot of homework to do on this show and I need to actually do it.

Tonight I have tickets to the ECS show "No Snowflake in an Avalanche", tomorrow I have tix for "Duel of the LInguist Mages" at Annex and Sunday I got comps to Shakes' "Chamber Cymbeline". w00t!

The weird thing about the weekend is that it's not really my weekend anymore.  Friday night isn't really a Friday night (it's a Wed? I dunno since I only have one day off a week anyway). It's weird right now...

Hung out with the mama and seestor today got breakkie at Portage Bay Cafe near me (well, by the time we actually ate, it was more like lunch, but we ordered breakkie foodz, so...) and then picked up a new dvd/blu ray player for the mama for her new TV and watched a movie together.  But now, relaxing. Enjoying sitting at home for a bit before I have to shower and get ready to go be Joan tonight.  Should be  funtimes!

Saturday Night Fever

Second night!  Heading toward the show where Dani & my mama are going to be.  Super excited to rock it again.  It went so well last night and the audience really seemed to like it despite its length.  And guess what?  I'm funny!  Yay!  People really liked me!

I love the script, my cast and we had a great audience last night!  Let's do it again!

Cool Cool Summer

OK, so I KNOW I said I wasn't gonna bitch about the (lack of) summer weather here in Seattle, so I'll just let him do it for me. That is all on that.

Yesterday was our first run through (right, we open when again?) and I was actually quite surprised by how well it went. We clearly have a LOT of work to do, but the lines and intent are there, now we just have to make sure we know what we're doing and when we're supposed to be doing it. I also realized that all of my Audrey scenes are SHORT, so as Teresa suggested, she's gonna talk a little slower--gimme more stage time. It's so fun though! And I have these HUGE long breaks... we will fill them up somehow... (card games, anyone?)

I can't wait to get into my corset. That will change everything.

Today and tomorrow we are working trouble spots and then we run again on Fri, I have Sat off for family shtuff (and world cup--w00t!) and then Sun is the 4th AND then we head into tech... crazy times!

Jewel Tones

Yesterday was great! Zanna was super fun (and super gay!), as always and hanging out with Dani afterwards was pretty great too! Although I was totes robbed in the karaoke competition. "Black Velvet" was at least a finalist. Meh, oh well, after FFOK, nothing else compares...

Crazytimes rehearsal tonite. I think we are working on every song and every Touchstone/Audrey (from now on referred to as T+A--haha!) scene as well. And tomorrow is our first run through! We open in about a week and a half(!), so it's about time... I think I'm off book, but then again I only have, like, 7 lines, so I'm not too worried...

Today I am wearing my H&M shiny purple ruffled blouse with my dark grey j brand skinnies from Nordys and bdg black saddle shoes from UO accessorizing with my giant black cocktail ring and black beaded necklace. I also grabbed my thrifted 3/4 sleeve black cardi for rehearsal later...

Zebra Stripes

It's one of those days, I can already tell... 49 degrees in June?! Boo. That is all I have to say: BOO. BUT I am done with my boots (done, I tell you!). I refuse to dress like it's winter when when I've already had my birthday. Not allowed, NO! So I am wearing my threadless tee, thrifted zebra-striped cami, black jolt pants and black Paolo flats both from Nordys with my thrifted black 3/4 sleeve sweater.

I had a great birthday yesterday. Enjoyed some homemade strawberry rhubarb pie at work, was able to do yoga, shower and eat something before rehearsal. AND was wished a 'happy birthday' by just about everyone I saw! It was loverly. Nice and busy!

Tonight I get to see my Dad! Yay! He's been in Panama for the last three months and I get to see him for the first time in FOREVER! What a great bday gift. PLUS, hopefully he will help me get some of my pictures hung up in my apartment (now that we've been there for 6 weeks...). AND I still have that one box in my room... hmmm... this weekend?
