Reclaim It

blouse: H&M, sweater: swapped, leggings: Lululemon, skirt: H&M, socks: DKNY, boots: Report Signature from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Enerjewels necklace, tribal earrings
I wore this to my opener yesterday and had lofty plans to book it to yoga right after, but I got outta work late, so I just ran a TON of errands and got stuff done that I'd postponed due to last week's cray cray snow.

Escapement

blouse: H&M, vest: Express, leggings: Lululemon, boots: Tommy Hilfiger from DSW, accessories: Relic watch
I wore this to open yesterday and almost died on my way there. All the slush had frozen over night and the wind was so bad that it kept pushing me into the icy patches. Le suck.

But (mostly) all was melted by my walk home and I was able to get all my errands and everything done in relative safety! w00t!

Good Hearted

blouse: H&M, sweater: thrifted, skirt: H&M, leggings: Lululemon, boots: Tommy Hilfiger from DSW, accessories: Relic watch
I wore this to wade through the snow to get to work on Friday. And to slog through way too many foot-deep puddles on my way home that night. I even cancelled my plans to check out a dance show my friend was in because the rain made the conditions too miserable.

It's nice to have the snow all melted now. Life back to normal.

Strings Attached

dress: H&M, capris: Lululemon, Wellingtons: Tommy Hilfiger from DSW, accessories: (unpictured) Relic watch, Charlotte Russe necklace, gifted green button earrings
I wore this to work this morning. Braving the snow and (mostly) ice (with only ONE minor fall--OUCH MY KNEE!!!!!!) to get to work on time. Hoping that I am able to switch shifts with my manager for tomorrow so I do not have to risk my life to get to my barista job tomorrow morning super early, only having to get there semi-early... We will see...

It's still coming down outside and has been for about six hours or so... And it's not supposed to stop until about 4am tomorrow (when I would need to be leaving for work)... Yesh...

And, of course, rehearsal was cancelled again tonight. Meaning I went to a grand total of ONE this week. I did some script work yesterday on my day off and today at lunch, but... I have a TON to do before we open and I need to buckle down and get some ish done...

Impatiently Waiting

turtleneck: H&M, skirt: H&M, leggings: Lululemon, boots: Tommy Hilfiger from DSW, socks: DKNY, accessories: Charlotte Russe necklace, Relic watch, Marilyn earrings
Well, I waited all day Tuesday for it to hit. It didn't. Meaning I cancelled a ton of the errands I was gonna get done and stuff for nothing, however, I did start to feel like crap. Achey, throat killing me, exhausted... awesome. Luckily knowing I had today off helped. And I bailed on rehearsal last night hoping to get to bed early and nip this thing in the bud before it went full-fledged flu on me.

I definitely feel better today, although I am still tired and my throat hurts. And I'm SUPER bummed I don't get to play in the snow. Day off + snow = awesome! Day off + snow + sick = SUCK...

Current view out of my window. Can't see the Space Needle because the clouds are too thick
It's a winter wonderland out there. And I am gonna just stay in and hope that rehearsal is cancelled tonight, so I don't have to wander out there until I head out at 4 tomorrow morning.

Ideal Me

blouse: H&M, pants: H&M, belt: thrifted, boots: Tommy Hilfiger from DSW, accessories: Relic watch, gifted crest necklace, trial earrings
I wore this to work on Monday. Gearing up for snopacalyse 2012, but we all got to work safe and sound Monday morning and watched it come down a bit more before starting to melt before rehearsal that night...

Off to the Races Again!

tee: Where the Wild Things Are from Urban, tank: Costco, sweater: Pitaya, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, boots: Chinese Laundry, accessories: Marc Jacobs watch
Well, it might be sunny out, but it is COOOOLD.  The low today is supposed to be 17. SEVENTEEN! Ridic!  At least with the sun, there is no chance of snow, but it will def be a cold walk to the show tonight.

Spent the night at la mama's last night to take care of the pupper.  And thank god for Jess giving me a ride there last night cause BRRRRRR! Dislike.  The show went well last night although it was a little bit slow... But such are Thursday nights.  Cold after three whole days off and taking a little bit to get back into it.  Plus in the whore scene I totally swallowed some spittle and had a nice little cough attack at the end of it. Lovely.  Glad that scene became about the random whore who couldn't hold in her cough.  And, of course, it was right before I had to go on for the big Lucy scene... Blearg.

La mama came home around noon today, so we were able to spend some time together before I took off to regroup at home before heading to tonight's show.

I Said (S)NO(W)!

top: thrifted, tank: Costco, jeans: Levi's, boots: Blowfish from DSW, accessories: Marc Jacobs watch
It held off all day and now as I took the garbage out I noticed that there are some flakes floating down, slowly, but consistently.  And if this damn weather keeps audiences from coming to see Threepenny, I am gonna scream!  It's not like we have that many performances and it's a good show, dammit!

Blearg.  Hopefully Jess & Aine will still brave the flakey flakes and come out to see it tonight (THEY BETTER!).  We start in about 2 hours and I do not want to have no one there.  For cereal.  Not OK, weather.  Not OK...

Spent today working monologues (yes, I do have 5 different Shakes books spread out around me on my bed, thankyouverymuch, I need them all) and feel like I actually have a good grip on what I am gonna use for my March 7th auditions... w00t!

Bluesy

tee: Rubbish from Nordstrom, sweatshirt: gifted Lululemon, leggings: H&M, socks: American Apparel, boots:  gifted Bear Paws, unpictured: H&M fuzzy hat, fuzzy black scarf, tights, Costco tank and long black coat Artifacts The Collection coat from Nordstrom
So...every day left of work is the last one of that day I have (last Mon, last Tues...)!  Super excited to be counting down... Soon, I will be meeting with all my Threepenny peeps and starting a new chapter in my Seattle life (that of professional actor, thank you very much!) and hopefully, my life in general (bring on the living actor wages!)...

Today's walk to work in the snow meant that I dressed more for that than for my workday and I cannot say I am regretting that choice.  About a minute into my walk it started coming down pretty hard and although nothing is sticking (that's apparently gonna happen Tues night...) it is cold out there (and in here, too!).  Brrrr...  I was actually so cold when I woke up this morning that the thought of a hot shower got me outta bed quicker than I even needed to.

Tonight I am heading to la mama's to watch the BCS Championship game and cheer for Oregon (come on, don't tell me you hate Auburn less than them. Cam Newton is a jerk) and for the Pac-10!  Also, super-congrats to my seestor for getting another grad school interview!  This one at Stonybrook in update NY!!!!!!  So much of me hopes we can move/live there together next year!!!!

...4 days left...

With A Chance

tee: Fossil, button-up: Papaya, tank: Costco, jeans: BDG from Urban, socks: American Eagle, boots: Blowfish from DSW, accessories: gifted small heart necklace, bejeweled bracelet
Well, it might snow today (already is up north) and the high is 40, so my thought was: layer!  And that's exactly what I did.  This look is a little eclectic (and I totes cut off my feetsies--whoops!), but I kinda love it.  Perfect for this cold, crisp day.

I am now the proud owner of the complete series, The Wire and I have already given my sister the first season to watch (and LOVE).  w00t!  I do have to say that the Netflix queue is probs gonna have to cool it for a bit so as I can enjoy the amazingitude of The Wire.  So far enjoying season 2 despite its differences from  the first season.  Also, Andy Bellefleur is in it!  Haha!  Of course, watching an entire episode when I got home did make me almost miss yoga--whoops!  But it was fine, I was just a minute or two late...

Plans tonight include relaxing and catching True Grit with D.  Heard it's good.  Supes excited to see it. w00t.

Ice Cold

thermal: gifted, pants: Express, socks: American Eagle, boots: Tommy Hilfiger from DSW
How cool is too cool?  Well, it turns out it's right about 20 degrees.  Seriously, my feetzies are still warming up from the walk to work this morning (during which there were at least 3 instances of near ice deaths--I was sliding more than that video of the cars trying to drive down John street on Mon night) because seriously? when I woke up this morning the temperature was 17 DEGREES!  And the high today? 28.  YIKES!  It might not be snowing anymore (boo), but the ice is much, much more dangerous to a walker.  The streets may be clean, but the sidewalks are frakking skating rinks... le boo.

Also, super glad to be outta the house and at work.  Weird, right?  But it definitely feels.  I started to feel cooped up yesterday (hence the trip to the grocery) and a little bored (hence the pie-making), but it feels good to be banging some last minute things out at my near-empty office.  Apparently, there were only 3 people here yesterday, but today there are 4, so at least there's that! Getting things done (and looking good in the process) that's my motto!

Plus, THANKSGIVING!  And I'm not feeling sickie anymore, although the head cold is hanging on!  I can deal with it!  The only thing that really sucks is that the buses are still on snow routes which means I'm going to have to finagle everything to get to my massage and then to mama's... le boo.  But I WILL make it work for me!  I will!  Suck it crappy buses!

More Records Than The KGB

How Russian do I look now?
Or, as a coworker stated, this is my "Nanook of the North" look.  And, yes, thank you, I was warm on my walk to work this morning in my long winter coat, wool Slytherin scarf, furry H&M hat and opera-length leather gloves.  Plus I look cute.  So there.

Snow Business

tee: Rubbish from Nordstrom, tank: Costco, sweater: Express, tights: Urban, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, socks: REI, boots: Bear Paw gifted
Oh, there is snow... and MORE is coming down and I am already home from work because of it!  Thank you, snow for making an already short week even shortier!  w00t!

Hamlet, PS was amazing!  SOOOO good!  The entire production was spot on and all it did was make me so incredibly excited to work with such a wonderfully talented company.  It was totally inspiring.  Seriously. Good.  Theatre.  I just wish I had been less sick.  There is nothing worse than sitting in a crowded theatre needing to blow your nose or open a lozenge.  I literally felt like I was ruining it for other people everytime I reached for a kleenex (but to be honest, two or three of those times were because the show made me cry.  Real, big, fat tears streaming down my cheeks.  I've never connected more with the "O what a rogue and peasant slave am I" soliloquy.  It was like it was said just for me.  Thank you, theatre, for that one moment, especially)... So, sorry to everyone sitting by me at Hamlet.  But at least I wasn't the girl to my right eating corn nuts...

PS Please note the amount of layers.  And I still had my heater blowing at my legs at work.  Yes, it's that cold.
