Be Careful What You Wish For

blouse: H&M, sweater: thrifted, tie: Slytherin from Harry Potter World, skirt: BCBG Maxazaria from Nordstrom, leggings: Forever 21, socks: gifted, boots: OTBT from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, giant gold disk earrings
I wore this to my opener this morning. Fun times. Good shift. First in a while I haven't had any training to think about. Kinda nice to be able to just... work. Plus, we were a bit slow, so I got to head out a little early. Nice to be home, knowing I have tomorrow off with two plays to see on the horizon.

Azkaban Ruined Me

dress: thrifted, corset: thrifted, wig: Red Light, wand: Wizarding World of Harry Potter, boots: gifted Franco Zarto, accessories: etsy necklace and tattoo
This costume took forevs. This is the wig that took me 3 hours to curl. Am obsessed with it. Despite the fact that it isn't so much Bellatrix as it is some creepy witch/Elvira/sorceress thing. But I love the Death Eater tattoo and the pretty obsessed with the whole look despite it not being perfect.  Wish the grommets coulda worked out, but with the sleeves being lace, I was too worried I would ruin the dress, so... no grommets. LOVING IT!

HALLOWEEEEEEEEEN! w00t!

Sharing is Caring

tee: thrifted, sweater: Halogen from Nordstrom, jeans:  J Brand from Nordstrom, boots: Report Signature from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch
Wore this to tech last night. Rocked it! Made it through Act I and tonight the plan is to run through Act II and then do a full run or as much of one as we can get through before the night ends.  My lower back and hips and left gluts are KILLING me, so I am beyond happy to have tomorrow off.  Only plans include yoga, to work this shizz out, and a PT appointment, to hopefully electro stim it all away.  I dunno what's up, but it hurts.

Plus, I picked up a corset for my Bellatrix costume and am gonna nix the grommet idea because of the delicate nature of the fabric of my costume, so really all I need is a silver pen to draw the curliques and I am ready to go! Once I get a wig.

Slow Down

tee: Bellatrix from Wizarding World of Harry Potter, sweater: Express, jeans: seethrusoul from Nordstrom, shoes: Converse, accessories: gifted mini-heart necklace, Relic watch, giant gold disk earrings
This is what I wore to day two of tech where I got to finally complete my costume. I am a fly 90's b-girl. And it is hilarious. I look beyond 90's. We also decided that I am gonna try to get watered and slimed, though not tonight (probs tomorrow) for the Shannon Faulkner sketch (w00t!) and I am beyond excited! YES! I love getting dirty for theatre.

So happy to have Thurs off... Totes nervous about shooting, but excited too!  Should be memorable if nothing else...

Get It Goin'

tank: Bellatrix from Nordstrom, sweater: Halogen from Nordstrom, capris: Pitaya, sandals: Steve Madden from The Rack, accessories: Relic watch, giant gold earrings
Harry Potter was fab.  I mean, absolutely amazing!  The best ending of the franchise, for sure, and it made me supes happy.  I was crying from like 20 minutes in.  Def gonna try to see it again. Yay Harry Potter!

Also, my callback was fun.  Definitely hoping that I get one of the two shows I auditioned for this last week. I just wanna have something to do this fall...

This was the first day in a supes long time that I have been able to have a do-nothing day and I embraced that whole-heartedly.  Slept on Dani's couch last night, but left early this morning and then got back to my place and slept for a long time before getting up and getting ready to head out to Judkins for our show tonight.  And then, maybe a little Ezell's afterwards?  I want to go to there.

Won-Won, Herm-o-ninny, and the Boy Who Lived

tee: Harry Potter World, tie: Harry Potter World, wand: (unpictured) Harry Potter World, jeans: H&M, shoes: Blink from Asos, accessories: Relic watch
Well, Woodland Park (in the rain--BOO!) here we come!  Gonna just get through this show and callback and enjoy me some final HARRY!!!! So damn excited it actually hurts.  Plus, two days off work!  And a Sounders game tomorrow (fresh offa their USOC win!)!  Yes, good weekend and: GO!

Totally nerding it up, but I don't even care.  My hair is gonna look like Bellatrix tonight anyways, so I might as well rock it out Slytherin-style! Done and done.

Little Bird

blouse: Old Navy, trousers: Express, shoes: LA Gear gifted (and now dead), accessories: long teal earrings
I worked a loooong and busy opening shift this morning on shoes that broke half way through my walk to work.  Boo.  Officially broke through the sole of the left shoe.  They are now in the trash.  It was a long day and I can hear my throat starting to be a bit bothersome, so I tea'd it up all day (even now and have been rocking a scarf too.  Keep my throat warm and protected.  Tried not to talk too much, but, well...that never really works as a barista. I think I need to buy a humidifier, but I keep forgetting to stop by Bed, Bath & Beyond to see how much they run...

Then I hit up the pilates mat class and, as promised, there was lots of ab work, but it was only 45 min, so probs I'll still be trying to make yoga, whenever possible. It's a good back-up though.

Heading back to the show tonight.  Callback went SUPER well last night, so my fingers are crossed.  Haven't heard anything yet, though, so I still have plans to head to the Annex callback tonight right after the show ends... And then BOOK IT to HARRY! Whew!  Busy times!

Soups Cereal

tunic: Free People from Nordstrom, leggings: American Apparel, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, tribal earrings, gifted rings
Well, I'm up from my lil nap and getting ready to head out for the night.  Still tired. Still not looking forward to another long shift tomorrow.  But at least, I am now one step closer to HARRY POTTER and two days off!  YES!

Happiness starts at 12:15pm tomorrow!

Standard Bearer

blouse: American Apparel, skirt: H&M, leggings: Forever 21, shoes: Linea Paolo from Nordstrom, accessories: Charlotte Russe necklace, Relic watch, long dangly silver earrings
I really kept thinking yesterday that the clouds would burn off and it would be nice, but no.  And thanks, weather, for not being nice today either.  It actually is supposed to rain off and on through Thurs.  But then get nice for this weekend!  I like that, I just wish we wouldn't have to (possibly) perform in the rain on Thurs. At Woodland.  On the treacherous incline. In shoes I do not trust... Blearg.

Seriously, after yesterday's long shift, I totally deserve today off and don't even have to be anywhere until my audition at 2pm.  Yay!

Then, I am meeting Patrick and Justine for drinkles and hh foodzies at Palominos before we head to see Aladdin!  I wish my mama could be there... :( le boo.  Glad that she is getting a night off though.

Tomorrow, I have another looooong shift, followed by a massage and our pick up rehearsal at Judkins, where I am hoping for no rain. Then work on Thurs, followed by a show at Woodland, callback for Annex's show, HARRY POTTER, day off Fri, show at Judkins, day off Sat, Sounders game and show at Woodland again (possibly our first double feature day?), then work 830-5 on Sun and a show at Volunteer followed by another GLORIOUS day off on Mon!  By that point, I will totes deserve one. again.

Crazy For You

tee: Saatchi Gallery from London, sweatshirt: Lululemon, pants: Old Navy, shoes: LA Gear gifted, accessories: Relic watch, gifted rings
Whew! Today has been a little busy.  Yoga'd this afternoon and then had to pack up all my crap from around mama's (it's amazing how much it explodes everywhere in only 3 days!) and I think I finally have everything gathered together... blearg.

Yoga was good today. I was pretty strong, but I definitely noticed that my shoulders are sore and a lot weaker after the stupid accident.  Boo.

I was so good at the bar last night. I didn't drink at all, but had a TON of fun with the bizarro amalgamation of friends who came out (high school, college, B&J, past show and current show--randomly awesome).  Loved it!

Also, bought my Harry Potter 7.2 tix for Cinebarre today!  YAY!  28 days!

Parselmouth

shirt: Express, tie: Slytherin from Wizarding World of Harry Potter, jeans: J Brand from Nordstrom, shoes: Linea Paolo from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, gifted rings
Spent the majority of the day handing out more resumes on the Hill and wandering around to my hearts content in the sunshine!  Handed out all 20 that I just printed by the end of the week and have a few follow up calls to make on Mon...

Just came back from seeing Erin (Dallas in Sister Cities) do Nunsense and god was she great!  Totally stole the show!  Also, odd to see that show again since I did it seven (7!!!) years ago back in college.  Funny to see what I remembered and what I didn't.  A little trip down memory lane... le sigh.

Plans for tomorrow include yoga, more sun enjoyment, making more resume copies and hitting up downtown.  Plus maybe a little shopping... Then roomie time (I GET TO MEET HER NEW KITTEHS!!!!!) and a show followed by a little bday party... Yesh!  Busy days!

Mormon-Ville Day 1

tee: Bellatrix from Wizarding World of Harry Potter, tank: Costco, jeans: Levi's, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom
Well, although our drive from SLC to Provo was snowy and surrounded by low clouds, the next day opened up bright, sunny and the mountains were out in full force!  It was absolutely beautiful.  The clouds had obscured how close they actually were, but on Thurs it was awesome.

Lindy went and did some looking at the actual school and talked with the head of the school and her mentor and then we worked out in the crappy little gym in the la quinta before we went shopping (I dressed up my little barbie, Lindy, and helped her spend some monies on great new clothes) and I kept myself from buying too much (a new swimsuit top from Target, a purse and glasses necklaces), which I was very proud of. And then Lindy noticed that with my new necklace and tee, it could do THIS:

HAHAHAHAHA! Bellatrix in glasses!
We then went and caught a movie (Hanna, supes good and very different. Plus Saoirse Ronan is ridic good!) and ate at a great Italian restaurant in Orem (the little town next to Provo where Lin is probs gonna live if she goes there).

Day One: Whole Lotta Harry

tank: Kimchi Blue from Urban, jeans: current/elliot from Nordstrom, shoes: Sperry Top-Sider from Nordstrom, shirt: Fluxus from Nordstrom, shorts: thrifted Nanette Lepore, sweater: Macy's, hat: Aprie
Oh man, this is gonna take a while, but I figured I would just go back through all 10 days... so, this was the first.  We changed in the car, so we could get to Harry faster and we spent 6 hours Harry-ing! Then went to dinner in the second outfit.

Planes, Trains & Automobiles

tee: Banana Republic, sweater: Halogen from Nordstrom, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch
Ran a shit-ton of errands this morning post-yoga including buying a cheapy watch (to replace my glorious Marc Jacobs return) tanning (only 4 minutes this time) and getting a pedi (bright orange) and then finished up my laundry and packing and cleaning up the apartment before I head out tonight.

The seestor picks me up at 9 and then we grab Dani before we head to the airport and onto Orlando (via Houston) for HARRY POTTER WORLD!

HARRY POTTER WOOOOOOOOORLD!!!!!

Super excited!!!!!! Also, brought Ambien to sleep and 5-hour energy to make it through the whole day of HP awesomeness.  YESSSSSSS!  There will be more exclamation points and bolds and caps and extra large lettering because it's Harry.  Get over it.

Big Plans

dress: thrifted, tights: Spanx from the Rack, leggings: Bebe, belt: J Crew, boots: Asos, accessories: Marc Jacobs watch, black beaded necklace, long metal feathered earrings
Heading to Next to Normal at the 5th and then over to the Women's History Month Cocktail Party. Super excited for N2N and also to go to the party.  Friends and fun times and all that good stuff.

Also, I have officially planned and booked all my tickets for Harry Potter World and visiting my dad in Panama with Dani! We leave on 3/19 and come home 3/30 (just in time for my Village general)! Yay!  plans!

Closing Time

tank: Kimchi Blue from Urban, bolero: H&M, trousers: Express, oxfords: Pour La Victoire from ShoeFly, accessories: gold & black tiered necklace from Aldo, Marc Jacobs watch, gifted giant green ring
Well, it's finally coming to an end... my professional debut.  And as if to signal it, this is probably the first time I have woken up without a song from Threepenny stuck in my head since we started rehearsals... My brain knows.

This will end up being another looooong day.  Grabbing breakfast with the fa-zha and seestor this morning before heading to our mat and then pizza at the Millers on the dinner break before the closing performance... and, of course, another glorious night at Solo.  Then, bright and early tomorrow I start the auditioning for the next show.

I have three (3!) auditions Monday (and 1 on Tues!).  Yesh!  That is impressive.  But then again it IS general (and summer show) audition season.  Skipped the TPS auditions this year for the first time since I joined and it was kinda odd.  Def glad I decided against it, but... when that week came around it was interesting not to be part of the nervous horde.

I think I have made (tentative) plans for when I am heading down to Panama to visit Dad & Pam (probs between 3/15-3/29 depending on if Dani & I can get down to HP world or not aka if she can get off work on such short notice...).  Kinda nice to finally have that nailed down.  Everything changed with the 5th & Village announcing their generals at the end of the month.  I had to kinda rush when I could get down to visit. Also, filing for unemployment on Mon.  Done & done.

More Records Than The KGB

How Russian do I look now?
Or, as a coworker stated, this is my "Nanook of the North" look.  And, yes, thank you, I was warm on my walk to work this morning in my long winter coat, wool Slytherin scarf, furry H&M hat and opera-length leather gloves.  Plus I look cute.  So there.
