And Stay Out

blouse: Papaya, tank: Costco, pants: Jolt from Nordstrom, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: gifted rings, Relic watch, Charlotte Russe necklace
Well, yesterday of all the things, Dani and I got rear-ended on our way to the bar after Brews & Bards last night.  And he drove off.  Loverly...  Sucks.  I am gonna head to the doctor tomorrow just to make sure all is well, but I feel significantly better than I did the last time I got hit with a car. Blearg.  Sucks.

Today I tried to do nothing and recover from the crappiness of yesterday and then head to la mama's for dinner but due to the stupid Mercer St closure and reroute to Denny, I spent 45 minutes waiting for a bus that never came and then giving up and just walking to another bus stop.  And an hour and a half later I reached mama's. Luckily, the day got better from there.  Then I just helped mama set up Skype, chat with the seestor, take Buggie for a walk and eat yummy homemade minestrone and chill to Food Network (oh, how I love my food porn!)

Tomorrow is the first meet-and-greet for GreenStage this summer, which should be super-funtimes!  Excited to get the ball a-rollin' and then I am back to work on Tues!

At the Ballet

tee: Ballet Studio from American Apparel, leotard: Capezio dance, skirt: Papaya, tights: American Apparel, flats: Asos
Thought I should include a pic of what I usually wear to ballet (or used to "usually"wear and now hopefully will again).  That's it.  It's cute and does everything I need it to.  Comfy, movable. slimming...

Ballet def kicked my ASS! I have forgotten so much.  Way more than I thought I would, but it's nice to be doing it again.  Hopefully, I'll be getting back in the swing of this for a long time!

Sensational

tee: Fossil, button-up: Papaya, jeans: J Brand from Nordstrom, shoes: Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories: red beaded bracelet, gifted min-heart necklace
We had the video/photo shoot for Threepenny today (which will be posted as soon as I have it).  And the outside shots were effing FREEZING!

And then tonight I went over to OtB with Jess to catch Paul (my Lear director's) solo show (awesome!!!) and grab a drink with the OtB-ers post-show.

The show is getting down to the wire... nervous, excited and really just loving where I am in my life right now.

With A Chance

tee: Fossil, button-up: Papaya, tank: Costco, jeans: BDG from Urban, socks: American Eagle, boots: Blowfish from DSW, accessories: gifted small heart necklace, bejeweled bracelet
Well, it might snow today (already is up north) and the high is 40, so my thought was: layer!  And that's exactly what I did.  This look is a little eclectic (and I totes cut off my feetsies--whoops!), but I kinda love it.  Perfect for this cold, crisp day.

I am now the proud owner of the complete series, The Wire and I have already given my sister the first season to watch (and LOVE).  w00t!  I do have to say that the Netflix queue is probs gonna have to cool it for a bit so as I can enjoy the amazingitude of The Wire.  So far enjoying season 2 despite its differences from  the first season.  Also, Andy Bellefleur is in it!  Haha!  Of course, watching an entire episode when I got home did make me almost miss yoga--whoops!  But it was fine, I was just a minute or two late...

Plans tonight include relaxing and catching True Grit with D.  Heard it's good.  Supes excited to see it. w00t.

Cowboy Take Me Away

shirt: Papaya, tank: Costco, jeans: Levi's, boots: gifted Chinese Laundry, belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction from Nordstrom Rack
Last night (in the crazy windstorm) I caught Hearts Are Monsters at Rendezvous Jewel Box Theatre and hearted it.  Seriously, I was SOOO tired that I was just hoping it was good and it was!  So glad I was able to catch it.  Hilarious.  Plus I ran into, like, everyone!  Always nice to be able to pimp my show closing weekend!  And see people I haven't seen in forevers (oh yeah, THAT).

So, right now, here I am at work just waiting to continue working, but our stupid server freaked out last night when we lost power, so... I am sitting here with all my work piling up around me.  Just waiting.  And it sucks.  Today was going to be busy (as Tuesdays usually are) even without this 2 hour interruption from work, but now... God only knows...

I did, however, find out yesterday afternoon that I will NOT be continuing to work with this company after Threepenny ends and I told my boss that my last day will be 1/15.  I now have 2 months left!  And then I am rehearsaling and moving onward in some capacity or another.  Soon, I am sure, I will be training someone new to take over my job and I already have senioritis for sure!  The Countdown Has Begun!

And speaking of Countdowns (capitalized due to its importance), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 1 (or as I like to refer to it HP7.1) comes out at midnight on Thurs!  I CANNOT WAIT!  I get off work early on Thursday to go to the UW v UCLA game with either Patrick or Lindy before meeting Dani and going to Cinnebarre for the HP7.1 midnight show!  THEN I have Friday off and Dani & I will be going to the Harry Potter exhibit at the Science Center to celebrate even MORE Harry Potter-ness!  SOOO excited!  I only have about 1.5 days left of work this week!  w00t!

And next week is Thanksgiving!  So, we have a halfday on Wed and then no work on Thurs or Fri!  AND THEN the holiday season really starts!  Threepenny will be here before I know it!

PLUS this weekend is the closing of MCE!  Everything is converging!  Holiday insanity here I come!

Fallin' Slowly

shirt: Papaya, tank: Costco, jeans: bdg for Urban, boots: MIA from Nordstrom Rack, accessory:  jeweled bracelet
First day of off-book rehearsal went surprisingly well (with all of my 6 or 7 lines, but STILL!) although I am a little nervous for tonight since we're doing scenes we haven't worked yet, and, well, it's hard to be off book for something you don't have in your body yet.  At least, it is for me... I have high hopes though.  The show is so well-written (thanks, Rachel!) that it's pretty easy to memorize.  Plus, these are some FUN scenes!

Another funny thing, we rehearsed at SCT yesterday and there was totes evidence that someone had been practicing for OtB's Badminton Royale in our rehearsal room!  There was a net, a print out of a regulation badminton court and 4 rackets.  I was amused.  People are really taking this thing seriously this year!  I just hope the weather cooperates because I'm not sure if I can motivate myself to go and cheer in the rain...

I did end up at yoga last night and was supes excited I ended up going.  I am plenty sore today, but all in a good way.  Plus now I can go do whatevs I want tomorrow and not feel guilty.  w00t!  I def got to yoga RIGHT at a SUPER good part in my book though, so I almost skipped it to sit somewhere and read, but I sucked it up and went to yoga knowing that my reward would be some french fries from Dicks before rehearsal (worth it!) and I got them.  And they were good (been craving some since mama wouldn't let me get any when we stopped at DQ on the way home from Walla Walla...)!

PS I wanted to correct the title of the second Hunger Games book I talked about in the last post (already fixed it there).  It is actually called Catching Fire.  I am stupid and didn't check... So, for future reference now you know.

Also, just to let everyone know, I am doing a little experiment with my (long-ass) bangs.  I am going to see how long I can let them grow before SNAPPING and cutting them all off... We'll call this Day 1.  Plus, today is the first official day of fall, so it seems fitting somehow...

Farm Girl Chic...

Or, as my sister likes to call it, my "Americana" look (red, white and blue...) Plaid flannel shirt from Papaya Clothing, silver Express cuff, black belt from Uniqlo, dark denim Urban Outfitters skinny jeans and Urban black gladiator sandals.

I also feel this look is sorta the quintessential "Seattle" cool, especially for the spring (rolled pants and sandals). If I were to throw on my circle scarf I could probably wear this outside right now.
