Had a lovely massage from Carolyn this afternoon getting ready for the trip.  And I returned my lovely kate spade bag and Marc Jacobs watch to BBOS (le sad) since they're due on Mon...

Next plans for today include taking a little nappy and starting the giant task that will be laundry... eventually...

Last night I remembered how awesome FFOK was... Love it! Need to get back to going all the time before I start rehearsing all the time again.

Heading out to catch a friend's show and then up to the Hill for som FFOK of the Irish variety.  Figured I should wear some green so as not to get pinched!

Room is clean and I've laid out most of the clothes I think I'm gonna pack, so now all I need to do is finish cleaning the apt, do some laundry and actually pack everything up.  Shoes and toiletries are about all I have left to put together.

Well, two auditions down today and one left... Whew!  My three auditions in one day Monday schedule is getting tiring... I ended up skipping the OtB show last night because of $$... blearg.  Thank god for the craziness of auditions, seriously, because otherwise this unemployed girl would be getting BORED.

The two this morning went well enough.  Always hard to tell, especially with generals.  I mean, I did what I did, but it always depends on what the season holds...  One more tonight. And in the in between Dani and I are gonna go tanning to get some base color before heading South (for the winter) and dear god do I need it.  Otherwise, seriously, I will be bright red the whole time.

Saw Dani's show last night and trust me, the girl knows how to direct.  For realzies... It was pretty damn arresting.

Lost an hour this morning, which SUCKED!  Hungout with the seestor for her birthday last night and it was really fun, but totally stressy because they wouldn't let Dani, Nathaniel, Jenna and her friend up because we got there at 11:01 (they stopped giving out the "key stamps"--to get up to the loft when Lin was having her party--at 11).  Blearg!  But after that it was funtimes!  Made friends with Lindy's friends and hungout and danced. And then, of course, we couldn't get a cab home... AND we lost an hour. Worst. Timing. Ever.  Oh wells...

Seestor-face spent the night at my place and then we grabbed brunchy with mama before I headed to my callback (which went SUPES good--yayzers!).  Now I'm hanging out for a bit and then heading to OtB tonight for a show.

Also: I leave for Orlando in 7 days!  w00t!!!

Jacki's bachelorette party tonight and it was supes fun.  Just hangout with all her friends and ate good foodz and danced.  Glad to be home and preparing for tomorrow.

Plans for manana include doing the yoga (it has been a whiiiiiiiiile...) and hanging out for a bitsy before heading to Dani's show and ultimately to Lindy's (supes belated) bday party.

I also need to do some work for all my callbacks coming up in the next week: Antony & Cleopatra on Sun; Mon is SCT general, Comedy of Errors callback & Tempest callback; and some other time next week I have a callback for Women Seeking... Yesh! But no complaints. This is the best problem to have! Hoping some things come through for this summer. Crossing my fingers!

Heading to Next to Normal at the 5th and then over to the Women's History Month Cocktail Party. Super excited for N2N and also to go to the party.  Friends and fun times and all that good stuff.

Also, I have officially planned and booked all my tickets for Harry Potter World and visiting my dad in Panama with Dani! We leave on 3/19 and come home 3/30 (just in time for my Village general)! Yay!  plans!

Then over to yet another audition and a break until next Mon... yesh.  Hello, general season.  Honestly, cannot wait until tomorrow and my big plans of doing absolutely nothing (and maybe seeing a play tomorrow night?).

Well, I have already had two auditions today. One that went very well (for the Women Seeking... show) and one that was absolutely heinous (the Cour d'Alene summer auditions...yesh).  Seriously, my voice is dead from yesterday.  Hoping to be able to rock it tonight for my GreenStage audition... And tomorrow for the Wooden O aud...

Oh man... gearing up for having absolutely nothing at all to do on Wed.

Well, it's finally coming to an end... my professional debut.  And as if to signal it, this is probably the first time I have woken up without a song from Threepenny stuck in my head since we started rehearsals... My brain knows.

This will end up being another looooong day.  Grabbing breakfast with the fa-zha and seestor this morning before heading to our mat and then pizza at the Millers on the dinner break before the closing performance... and, of course, another glorious night at Solo.  Then, bright and early tomorrow I start the auditioning for the next show.

I have three (3!) auditions Monday (and 1 on Tues!).  Yesh!  That is impressive.  But then again it IS general (and summer show) audition season.  Skipped the TPS auditions this year for the first time since I joined and it was kinda odd.  Def glad I decided against it, but... when that week came around it was interesting not to be part of the nervous horde.

I think I have made (tentative) plans for when I am heading down to Panama to visit Dad & Pam (probs between 3/15-3/29 depending on if Dani & I can get down to HP world or not aka if she can get off work on such short notice...).  Kinda nice to finally have that nailed down.  Everything changed with the 5th & Village announcing their generals at the end of the month.  I had to kinda rush when I could get down to visit. Also, filing for unemployment on Mon.  Done & done.

Need to take off for another 2-show day right now, so I'll keep this short.  Last night's show was good, but the audience was one of those quiet, contemplative ones that don't give you much to show that they're interested even though you can, on occasion, tell they are listening, which, of course made us get all in our heads about how the show wasn't very good, even though it was... whew!  So, blearg.

Went to Solo last night with the peeps and that rocked.  Love me some Threepenny peoples. Plus Kate & Carolyn came!  And Dan too (my Money director), which makes me happy pants!  Apparently today's mat is almost completely sold out!  And Mama & Nana are coming and then we're grabbing early dinner before I have to get ready for my second show which Dad & Jacki are coming to!  YAY!  Family day!

Heading back to the show tonight, but really, little bit of a crazy day because earlier today I started smelling gas by my kitchen stove, so I'm pretty sure it's leaking and there is no way to shut it off.  Awesome.  I called the gas company and hoping they come out today.  Opened tons of windows and staying in my room breathing out the window. Yesh.  No good.

Excited to be heading back to the show tonight (and outta the scary apartment...I want to LIVE).  This is the crazy six-show in four days weekend and TONS of my peeps are coming to see the show this weekend! Lindy & her friends and Carolyn are coming tomorrow (Fri), Mom & Nana are coming to the 2pm matinee on Sat, Dad & Jacki to the 730pm show on Sat and Dad's coming again to the 730 closing show on Sun!  Yay! Closing weekeeeeeeeeend!

Back On My Legs

Well, managed to throw my perfume bottle on my lip which is now bleeding.  Awesome.  Good start to my first day-off where I am actually getting up and going somewhere.  Sucks.

But seriously, Jess and I are grabbing dinner after I run a few errands and then I am going to have a nice relaxing night at home (quite a change of pace, right? haha). I know I have been super lazy, but I have no complaints.  It was loverly to not have to do anything for three days and we have 6 shows this weekend, so I am gearing up for that insanity.

Well, it might be sunny out, but it is COOOOLD.  The low today is supposed to be 17. SEVENTEEN! Ridic!  At least with the sun, there is no chance of snow, but it will def be a cold walk to the show tonight.

Spent the night at la mama's last night to take care of the pupper.  And thank god for Jess giving me a ride there last night cause BRRRRRR! Dislike.  The show went well last night although it was a little bit slow... But such are Thursday nights.  Cold after three whole days off and taking a little bit to get back into it.  Plus in the whore scene I totally swallowed some spittle and had a nice little cough attack at the end of it. Lovely.  Glad that scene became about the random whore who couldn't hold in her cough.  And, of course, it was right before I had to go on for the big Lucy scene... Blearg.

La mama came home around noon today, so we were able to spend some time together before I took off to regroup at home before heading to tonight's show.

It held off all day and now as I took the garbage out I noticed that there are some flakes floating down, slowly, but consistently.  And if this damn weather keeps audiences from coming to see Threepenny, I am gonna scream!  It's not like we have that many performances and it's a good show, dammit!

Blearg.  Hopefully Jess & Aine will still brave the flakey flakes and come out to see it tonight (THEY BETTER!).  We start in about 2 hours and I do not want to have no one there.  For cereal.  Not OK, weather.  Not OK...

Spent today working monologues (yes, I do have 5 different Shakes books spread out around me on my bed, thankyouverymuch, I need them all) and feel like I actually have a good grip on what I am gonna use for my March 7th auditions... w00t!

A Running We Shall Go

Running errands today and waiting for the UPS man... coffee with Dani this morning, then late lunch with the roomie at the new SLU Serious Pie location (talk about random, the hostess is a girl who lives in my apt building and knows me because she's also in the theatre scene and dating a friend of mine.  She legit goes "Can I have you name?" And when I said "Gina" she asked "Are you Gina Russell?" and when I got over being creeped out and replied yes, she explained all of that to me...haha!) and then as I got back to the apartment, THE UPS GUY WAS DRIVING AWAY! Noooooooooooooooo...

Luckily, someone had answered the door and let him drop off the package at my door--yay! But I did not get to give him to purse return... le boo.  So, I had to head over to UPS and drop it off... blearg.

I get two more glorious days off (and Wed I get to see the seestor--w00t!), so Dad, feel free to skype me anytime! I'll probs be hanging out at home on my computer the whole time anyhows...

It's Pie Time

The day officially got off to a start when I called my office to find out the office had been closed for the day due to snow, so I went back to bed with visions of pie crust in my head.  Then I even started to make the crust before realizing that I had no pie tins... le boo.

So, around 2pm I ventured out into the 26 degree weather to get to the grocery store for pie supplies.  And seriously, my little foray into the world just made me happy I had decided to stay home today and a little concerned about getting to work tomorrow, especially if the ice keeps coming.  The walk there I was fine but on the way back there were 2 or 3 moments when I almost bit it.  BAD.  And I had eggs in my bag.  That would have been no good.

But now I am back and I have one pie all ready to go and one in the oven!  Plus, my new blueberry cranberry pie with lattice top and it is pretty!  And the filling is super yummers!  Some of the reviews said it was too sour with the cranberries, but I think it's perfect!  I hope it turns out all good and other people like it since it's all new!

Plus, there has been some quality kitteh time today, but I know I have a lot of work to get done and I am going a little stir-crazy at home and I'd love to get out too.  Yay!
