Turn It Off

blouse: Express, sweater: American Eagle, trousers: Express, belt: thrifted, boots: Franco Saarto from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, Marilyn earrings, gifted crest necklace
I wore this out to my audition today. I thought it looked like a defense attorney (which is what I was auditioning for), plus it's cute and fun. Haven't worn these pants for a while either and lemme tell you, I've definitely lost some weight since the last time (hence the belt).

I was possibly gonna go hangout with Dani tonight, but I totally needed a night in and I am SUPER excited to just veg out for a bit. I open tomorrow and train again and then have another audition (and possible callback too, and if not, then Oscar-watching with Dani!)

PS where are Girl Scout cookies? Isn't this Girl Scout cookie season? WHY CAN'T I FIND ANY KIDS SELLING THEM?

I want me some Tagalongs and Samoas. (Diet be damned! I'll freeze them for 3 weeks until I can eat sugar and carbs again... This is a once-a-year opportunity!)

Worn to my audition last night.  Check out the belt that I'm wearing. 'Cause otherwise, these pants do NOT stay up... w00t!

Beautiful Disaster

blouse:  H&M, jeans: BDG from Urban, clogs: thrifted new Danskos, belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction from The Rack, accessories: orange diamond earrings, Relic watch, Charlotte Russe necklace
Well, the monster five week-day opening shifts in a row work week is officially O-V-E-R!  Supes excited to be able to enjoy my four days off. w00t! I even managed to get to yoga three times!

I head back to rehearsal tonight and am about to get ready for that right now. And can I just say?  Oh, cheese, how I have missed thee!  I slow cooked some chicken breast with salsa added some cheddar and pepper jack with lettuce and a bit of fat free plain yogurt and holy crap!  I am a cook!  Then I had my bleu cheese chicken burger in a lettuce wrap with a dijon'd tomato for lunch.  Seriously, cheese makes everyone a fabulous cook. YES!

Tomorrow I have no where to be until rehearsal at noon!  GAH!  YES!

Useful Intelligence

turtleneck: H&M, jeans: BDG from Urban, clogs: new thrifted Danskos, belt: Kenneth Cole Reaction from The Rack, accessories: Crest necklace gifted, long teal earrings, Relic watch
Whew!  Last day of June and last day of bus pass... That means that I now have to go back to watching my timing and transfers... Blearg. Oh wells.

Tomorrow I start adding foodzies back in starting with dairy (well, really I added it in today--tasting as I was making my bleu cheese chicken patties for tomorrow...) and I am really excited to take all of the techniques and recipes that I have tried and loved on this diet and ramp them up with more ingredients!  Surprisingly, I think this unitard diet (and the fact that I have the time in the afternoon to cook for myself) has really taught me how to expand my kitchen knowledge and in general, just cook meat.  Well, definitely be more COMFORTABLE cooking meat.  I might not necessarily know how to cook everything, but at least I'm not scared of it anymore. Go me!

I have another night off rehearsal (yup, that's right, two in a row the week before we open... I don't really wanna talk about it), so I am about to nappy and then head to Patrick's bday celebration at Solo!  Yay, June bdays.

Yoga was good today.  Everyone at the gym is still working out the kinks of this merger, so I guess the class might end up being only 45 minutes?  Which I hate, but whatever.  All I want is heat in the room.  Again, today I felt like I didn't even sweat at all and I got cold during savasana, which really brings me OUT not INTO the moment.  They said they are working it and it will be done "soon", but that there was no time frame they could give me.  I told them it's a deal breaker and that I need it there before it starts getting cold again or I am canceling my membership.  I go to my gym to get the cheapest unlimited hot yoga in the city and if it's not hot, it's not worth it.

Ketchup

tee: Old Navy, leggings: H&M, skirt: H&M, shoes:  Sperry Top-Siders from Nordstrom, accessories:  Relic watch,  tribal earrings, crest necklace
Playing catch-up from yesterday's insanity.  I had an eight-hour shift flanking the pride parade a block from where it kicked off and it was suuuuuuper fun.  I absolutely had a blast working in that insanity.

Then I headed to Jenn's grad party BBQ (where I did supes well on maintaining after my cheat day) and had a good time relaxing after a crazy week and a crazy shift and eating some awesome foodz with some fun times people.

Bubbly

tank: Maddy M from Nordstrom, sweater: gifted J Crew, trousers: Lux from Urban, shoes: Linea Paolo from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, tribal earrings, long black beaded necklace, gifted rings
After a good rehearsal, I changed my pantalones and met la mama for my bday sushi dinner.  And my cheat day was a great one: sushi, sashimi, ceviche, and even tempura veggies from Nashino in Madrona followed by Molly Moon's summerberry goat froyo with taste tests from mama's salted caramel.  YUM!

Tomorrow begins the 6-day work week with a long 9-hour shift.  Luckily, it doesn't start too early.  I can totes do a 930 start, but the five openings following it... yeah, not so much.  Jenn is having a graduation celebration and BBQ afterwards, which will be a loverly way to cool down. And I will stay away from the bad foodzies.  I will!

Carrying On

blouse: H&M, skirt: BDBG Maxazaria from Nordstrom, leggings: H&M, shoes: Blink from Asos, accessories: Relic watch
Big plans for today which didn't all come to fruition... Work, of course, happened for my little shorty shift, but oddly, I was waaaaaaaay more tired today when I started at 11am than when I usually start at 430.  Dunno if it was the coffee, lack of sleep or my body just getting in the the waking up early groove but it was an interesting challenge...

Then, just as I was getting ready to leave and head to la mama's for bday (cheating) sushi, she texted me to say that we have to reched because her knee was bugging her, so I just went over there instead and made dinner (yummy turkey burgers on a bed of mixed greens, tomato, and onion for me and avocado for the mama) and watched some Food Network.  It was good, but now I can't wait until next Sat for real birthday sushi!

Then, I was supposed to go to Stephanie's going away thing, but it felt so good to just hangout and do nothing for once this weekend that I bailed.  Plus I felt like I was helping la mama and I miss her, so it was nice to hang out with her and the Bug.

I have tomorrow off, but have an audition at 1:50 for Book-It, so no yoga.  I will, however, be sleeping in, working the monologue and then just relaxing and enjoying my day off before heading to rehearsal.

Helplessness Blues

tee: Zara, tank: Costco, sweater: Parfait from Nordstrom, boots: OTBT from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch, black hoops
I am now getting ready to head out to see The Gene Pool (finally).  This show has some of my fav peeps in it and has been on my shortlist to see forever and now I am able to go (ready and willing, maybe not, but at least I have the time).  Although, a big GIANT part of me wishes that I had no plans tonight and could just watch a movie and pass out, I am gonna get my butt out (after all, it IS a Sat and I don't have to work until 11 tomorrow), but the birthday/going away party I was supposed to go to afterwards most likely is NOT gonna happen.  Long days, weeks, months (it can go on forever)...

I am really proud of how well I have stuck to this diet (it's officially day 11!) because the only "cheating" I have done is to make recipes that they have in the back of the pamphlet that came with my drops (even though it says not to mix your veggies), so that's not really cheating, right?  I mean, I just made the BEST (and spiciest) salsa from there.  Boy howdy was it spicy, though. I mean, seriously spicy, which is all my own fault for buying 4 fresh jalepenos and putting all of them in it.  With 2 tablespoons of chili powder.  LOVING IT! Honestly, I am eating such balanced means it almost sickens me. I only have 12 days left on the uber strict diet and then? Freedom!

I am totes gonna cheat tomorrow when la mama and I go out for bday sushi though.  No tuna or salmon?  I THINK NOT.

So What?

blouse: H&M, trousers: Express, shoes:  gifted LA Gear, accessories: Relic watch, mirror earrings
Yay!  Today is my Friday meaning I HAVE MY BIRTHDAY OOOOOOOOFFFFFFFF! YAAAAAAY! Also, shoved a whole lot into a early morning (on 3.5 hours of fitful sleep--yikes) and, to be honest, I can't even remember if I've taken my second dosage of drops yet... yeah.  Today and yesterday are running into each other THAT much... blearg.

Work was fine, odd spits and furts of business and not during the normal rush-times... whatevs, oh 3rd and Pike... I was glad that I was off at noon though so that I could yoga it!  Bizarro weather today, but I was also able to get some sun and am now home, showered and about to take my I-woke-up-at-3am-bitches nap.

Tomorrow I have plans to massage, generally do nothing, rehearse and then grab drinks with whoever can!

Yay!  BIRTHDAY!  I heart them!

PS Can I just complain about all the people I love SO HARD who are out of town on my bday?  OK, that's done.  I heart you ALL.  Come back to me...

Clean Up Your Act

blouse: Old Navy, jeans: BDG from Urban, boots: OTBT from Nordstrom, belt:  Kenneth Cole Reaction from the Rack, accessories: Relic watch & mirror earrings,  cameo: Kitteh butt
I really heart these pics because as bad ass as I am trying to be in the pic on the left (to fit with my boots and belt...you should see how cute this looks with my "leather" jacket on too!), it just fails miserably when there is a kitteh butt cameo... Bajaja!

OMG. So. Tired.  This is the first time that I have had a 430am shift followed by random other errand-y stuff (in this case packing and heading to la mama's to take care of the Buggie and a voice lesson) before heading directly to rehearsal.  That's right.  This girl doesn't get a nap today... blearg. And I open tomorrow.  (I really tried to fit one in, but cooking and showering--it's been a week, I hate to admit--took precedent).  Big ol' giant thanks to la mama for buying me cooking supplies that fit within my bizarro dietary restrictions (weighed myself today and def see to have lost some weight--w00t!).

Excited to get back to a voice lesson regimen, but a little bummed that he couldn't meet me any later (thus negating naptime...) Brain not awake...

Bringing It Back

shirt: thrifted, jeans: H&M, shoes: Converse from Nordstrom, accessories: Relic watch
Today was the photo shoot for the shows and I had to be at rehearsal an hour early, then even earlier to get my hair and makeup did by our costumer and then even earlier because it was UW commencement today and guess which route my bus takes... blearg.  I was tired for sure, but it went well.  The make up (fantastical) and hair (BIG with fun ribbons and feathers) is gonna be a lot of work but I think it will be really fun.

Plus we started in on some of the dancing bits (YIKES).  This show is gonna be tons more physical than what I've recently been doing.

Day two of the Unitard Diet is going well.  I cooked up my chicken last night, so I just had to grab my lunch bag this morning and eat once I got to rehearsal. I did the same thing for tomorrow (I open the next three days...le boo) and just cooked myself some more chicken for tonight's dinner which was SUPER good.  I made grilled chicken on a bed of spinach with strawberries seasoned with white wine vinegar, fennel salt and pepper.  UM, YUM!  I am seriously eating so much better on this diet than I normally do and am very proud of myself.  I don't think I drank enough water today though, so I am loading up on it now... Only 18 more days to go... (and 3 weeks maintenance and 3 weeks slowly transitioning back to normal--but a new healthier normal--Oh, god I don't know if I'm gonna make it all 7.5 weeks, but I know I will try.)

Tell Me More

tee: thrifted, tank: Costco, jeans: J Brand from Nordstrom, sweater: Halogen from Nordstrom, jacket: Calisto from Nordstrom new, scarf: Nordstrom cashmere new, boots: OTBT from Nordstrom new, accessories: mini-heart necklace, Relic watch, gifted rings, mirror earrings
Wearing of the new!  I love the first day you wear something new, especially things bought online.  It's alway such a pleasure when everything fits and is just as loverly as the pictures!  I heart Nordys (and the half-yearly sale in particular). Three new things in this outfit. All much loved already!

Since we did what we were supposed to do in rehearsal today, yesterday, we did a little bit of a stumble thru today!  And we got through the whole thing!  And the outline is definitely there!  And we've only had 8 rehearsals!  We are in good shape and I am excited to see this thing really fill in (Ariel becomes more and more clear each day).

Then afterwards Justine and I and the guy who plays Ferdinand (whose name I currently forget) went to grab a fatty foodz/beer last hurrah at Charley's before starting the strict parts of the diet tomorrow... Done and done!  Unitard diet: COMMENCE!
