One-derful!

tank: Costco, sweater: BP for Nordstrom, jeans: bdg for Urban Outfitters, boots:
Blowfish from DSW
Yeah, it's a bad pun, but it accurately describes my one day work week!  And how excited I am that I get to go on vacation with the mama and seestor!  Cannot wait to get a few days off to enjoy some time off (with some wine), family (with some wine) and all around relaxation (with wine--see a theme here?).  Happiness!

I feel like I should probably mention that Spin the Bottle on Fri was pretty effing amazing.  Watching Brendan Kiley get pie'd in the face was EPIC.  He was so awkward... LOVED IT!  Also, got to see some peeps I haven't for a while, mainly Carrie of Condo-ness.  Gah! I miss her!  But I think we're gonna go on the Annex retreat together, which would pretty much ROCK... just sayin'  Also, got to hang out with Dani & B, who I miss like crazy!  Never see people anymore... as I have fallen back into the routine of "I can't, I have rehearsal"... as per ususal.  And don't get me wrong, I LOVE IT, but it kinda feels like I never get to see people.  Although, since most of my friends tend to be fabulously talented theatre people, they totally understand and, in fact, have the SAME problem. How we ever see anyone is a mystery to me (oh yeah, it's at OTHER theatrical events...)!

Poor Carolyn really hurt herself during the final dress of R&J and her ab muscle was hurting her too badly to come out with me on Sun, so Jess and I wandered over to Mars Bar to find, oh yes, KARAOKE.  Which, apparently, they have every Sun night (and I knew that somewhere in the back of my brain, but since it was a holiday Mon, I didn't think about the fact that it was Sun...).  Poor Jess.  She was a good sport.  I won't drag you again, dahling, I promise.

Seriously, counting down...

Full Frontal!

Um, super glad that I got this bolero back from Dani (she's been holding it hostage since this night way back in May when I left it at her house on accident... Also, sidenote: interesting how similar the 2 outfits are--only difference are the pants--totally unintentional...hmmm...). I think I only got to wear it once or twice and I supes heart it, so YAY! Dani FTW!

Also, FFOK was pretty epic last nite. I hit it up after our show and planned on staying for one drink and one song (haha, right?) and ended up hanging out with my new friend (with THE fiercest voice, EVER!), Kate until closing... Whoops! Free drinks and fun times=very little sleep, but TONS of funtimes! It's really kinda unfair how much fun FFOK is every other week...

Tonight we fight the Blue Angels traffic to get to Redmond City Hall by 6pm (haha)... and just kinda cross our fingers and hope that we can all get there sans traffic... This is our last non-Seattle performance (thank GOD!). Doing GreenStage really made me realize just what a city girl I am. Even West Seattle feels like a different world (not to mention Burien, Redmond or Fall City...). Let's stick to my city, thank you very much! Excited to do my next show on the Hill (and can we talk about how ironic it is that I finally get cast in a show (2 shows actually, if you count Condo at NWFF) up there RIGHT after I move off it? Oh, the irony...)!

And speaking of irony, I would LOVE to address the fact that although it may not have been HOT all summer, it has been relatively warm and sunny and this weekend? Seafair weekend? The first time it's supposed to rain during the day! HAHA! And ONLY on Sat/Sun! bahahahah! So amused by this... BUT this also means it is fleet week! w00t! Sailers! Everywhere! FTW!

Today my pictures totes remind me of this moment (start it around the 2 minute mark) from old Thoroughly Modern Millie movie--bahahaha "Gee I wish my fronts weren't so full...they sure ruin the lines of your beads" just might be the best silent movie "line" EVER! Anyways... I am wearing my recently returned H&M black sequined bolero with my H&M zipper-shoulder b&w striped tee, my j brand grey skinnies from Nordys and my bdg black saddle shoes from UO.

Burnin' Up

Gah! SOOO tired... I feel like everything from the last few weeks in congregating on my brain RIGHT NOW (and making me utterly useless, despite the massive amounts of caffeine I have INHALED)... Boo!

I am excited to get foodz/drinkz with Carolyn (of Condo friend-ness & Juliet in GreenStage's sister show, R&J)tonight at Crow bar! w00t! Should be funtimes...

Today I am wearing my seethrusoul jeans from Nordys, bdg black saddle shoes from UO, thrifted black sheer tee and black Express v-neck sweater. Also threw on my black and silver bracelets.

Brought to You By the Color Green

Mmmmmmm... the text workshop we had last night in lieu of rehearsal reminded me how much I LOVE learning. Makes me wanna go to grad school. Just completely immerse myself in technique. Of course, which technique (and by default, which grad school) do I want to study? No idea. That's what lets me know that I WILL someday go, but also that right now is not the time...

Speaking of acting, I found out a few days ago that I have a callback to the 5th Ave for ensemble in A Christmas Story The Musical in about a week... No jinxing, but w00t! Supes excited about that!

Tonight I am not called for rehearsal, so I am going to Tsar (all about Ivan the Terrible) at Neptune at 7pm and then possibly a little Frances Farmer Organ Karaoke? Mayhaps, mayhaps...

For all of this excitement (there's SUN, too!) I am wearing a thrifted lbd, green striped Cardigan sweater, grey Mod Cloth belt, Steve Madden black boots and old grey knee socks.

Oh, and PS it looks like the BBOS winning purse is the yellow Kate Spade. Crossing my fingers I get it before the 13th!

Body May Be Sick, But Fashion Feels Fine

I feel even more like crap today, then I did yesterday, but here I am at work. I am not sick enough to stay home, but not really well enough to be 100% invested here at work... Blearg.

And I'm supposed to go to Frances Farmer Organ Karaoke at Vermillion with my Condo Millennium cast (and run by our music director) on Thurs. That I planned. But right now, unless I feel infinitely better, I think I'll probably only be there in spirit...

I mean seriously, look at my face and tell me I don't look sick? The photo effects help, but they don't fix everything...

Anyway, today I am wearing my Lux sheer cowl neck sweater from UO, seethrusoul dark denim flares from BP and cordovan cabrio leather Dansko clogs bought at Nordys. Comfy, but def still fashionable.

On the way out to the CHEESE FESTIVAL! Can only stay for a little while and then I'm meeting the Mama and the Seestor and it's still loverly outside.

I am wearing my gifted brown polka dot dress from flounce TBD, a thrifted lace back tan sweater, brown Banana Republic knee socks and Rocket Dog zip up brown boots from DSW. It's funny because I really don't own that much brown and I really rarely wear it, and yet I own three pairs of brown boots... And when I do wear it, I kinda go all out. Today, I swear I am wearing at least four separate shades...

Condo Millennium closed last night and it's totally bittersweet. I am so glad to have a two week break before As You Like It starts rehearsal on June 1, but at the same time I really wish that we had been able to perform more than just three times.

It's Pretty Easy Being Green

Last night was such a great opening!

Everyone seemed to really enjoy the show and we already have a number of really positive reviews (Seattle Times, The SunBreak, and Urbnlivn). I am really excited about tonight and tomorrow night, too!

Plus today is absolutely gorgeous, so YAY!

I'm wearing my current/elliot boyfriend jeans from Nordys, grey Target plastic shoes, light green Rubbish tee, green and grey striped merino wool Cardigan and my new orange Andrew Marc purse!!!

Gotta go and eat and then head to the show! w00t!!!

Polka-Dotted

Whew! Man, the only thing getting me through today is the fact that the weather is absolutely gorgeous!

It is now officially opening night (crazy!) and I am so excited. I can't wait to get a full audience in there to enjoy what we have created.

I'm wearing an Edme & Esyllte teal polka-dotted and navy striped white skirt (with pockets!) from Anthropologie and grey low cut back Pitaya tee with my Seychelles polka dot wedges from Nordys.

I am loving the sunshine. Stay here forever now. kthxbye.

Two Days in Tech

So for my two 10 outta 12's (theatre speak for 10 tech hours out of the 12 that the crew/director are in the space), I went supes casual.

Yesterday I wore my yellow Nordys screen print tee, and BDG dark denim jeans with my black BDG saddle shoes both from Urban. And today I am rocking my Bitten by SJP grey tee and the same jeans with my Sperry Top-Siders.

Both days have been absolutely gorgeous... And I've been stuck inside a dark theatre for 10 hours (although on my two breaks, I was out enjoying the sun and warmth!). Not that I'm complaining. Seriously, what I wouldn't give me make a living doing this and only this. AH-mazing!

Pic of today's outfit to come... when I get home from our PREVIEW!

Rehearsaling!

Here I am! At rehearsal! On a weekday! At 3PM! And I've been here since 10AM!

It's amazing...

Sometimes, I love my life...

Woke Up With The Rain

Opening Week! Crazy, I know...

I kinda can't believe that in three days we will be in preview; in four, opening the show, and in six, closing it... WAY too fast.

Today through Wednesday we are in tech. And although I am working today, I have the next two days off (rehearsal 10a-10p). It'll be intense, but I am ridiculously excited for it.

Today, I also have my general audition at Seattle Shakes (because I can never cram too much into my life...) and have been mentally preparing for that all morning. Once I get through Shakes, I can focus on the new cuts in the script for Condo Millennium...

I am wearing my H&M $6 skirt (best impulse buy EVER), black opaque tights, black Steve Madden boots, purple H&M turtleneck and reversible black vest from Macys.

Gearing up for the crazy! And looking forward to sleeping in the next two days...

P.S. Ugh. Terrible picture. I can't wait until I have internets!

What's Black and White and Shiny All Over?

That would be me!

Trying out this new feature I found collaging my pictures. I've had fun playing with it. Today I am wearing my black Jolt skinnies from Nordys, black & white striped H&M tee with zipper shoulders and black sequined H&M bolero with my black BDG saddle shoes from Urban.

Only working today until noon and then heading to our first tech rehearsal! Super excited to start the process of building the show in the space. It's going to change a lot, but I definitely feel good about where we are right now (especially when I look at the two 12 hour tech days we have coming up next week). Opening night is in less than one week!

Busy weekend too! Seeing a play with Dani tonight ("Bat Boy" @ UW), yoga then cleaning out the old apartment and turning in the keys(!) tomorrow and seeing a play tomorrow night, and then Mom's day festivities on Sun (M's game with the Mama & Seestor--hopefully breaking their losing streak--get it together boys!) and possibly another play that night? Crazy times!

Twirling, Swirling Into the Deep

Happy Seis de Mayo! Although most people celebrate Cinco de Mayo, I know the true day to celebrate is el SEIS, porque es un dia de los cumpleanos de me mama. Feliz Cumpleanos, mama!

After yesterday's mental clusterfuck, I am glad to begin a new day with, hopefully, better results.

Thank God for rehearsal, that is all I have to say...

Today I am feeling a litte twirly, swirly, girly in my F21 grey ballerina skirt, black gifted v-neck tie-waist sweater with satin puff sleeves, Urban fishnet leggins, DKNY black knee socks and black shiny faux snake skin Dolce Vita heels from Nordys.

Yay for new beginnings and a free last minute lunch (assisting in Seattle market has its perks)! Today already feels superior to yesterday.

Sweet Relief

The big things are moved. Last night was a resounding success! I have most of the heavy shit at my new place and Jess was so SO helpful with everything (love)! We even got free dinner from our new new apartment managers (they are ridiculously nice). Tomorrow the fabulous Steph will help me move my last boxes (and the mattress) to the new apartment and then it's all about cleaning out the old place and setting up the new one!

I literally have no where to put anything though... It's quite an interesting experience though. My futon mattress is on the floor and the only place I can set things is on my wicker bedside table or my ugly coffee table I'm getting not moving.

Today was all about comfort and warmth and transformation (I'm heading right from here to rehearsal at 2), so I am rocking my grey Levi skinnies, purple Hawks by Geren Ford asymmetrical tank from Urban, dark grey Pitaya crew neck tee, thrifted 3/4 sleeve black sweater and black Chinese Laundry booties with silver studs. Accessorizing with my long black beaded necklace, and silver, black beaded bracelet and giant black cocktail ring.

Tonight is for laundry and finishing the packing! Three cheers!

COVET

Um... yeah... I feel a little like the White Rabbit from Alice racing against time. That's what I could use more of right now. Time.

I just found out that I might have to move on Thurs, which I THINK I could make work (but not without a late night or two and some cancelling of things). And it's making me stressy. I just need more time... Every ounce of energy right now is being propelled into work or rehearsal, packing or memorizing, sleeping (sometimes), eating (when I remember...). It's getting out of hand and I really need to be able to just stop. Or slow down. But I don't see that in my immediate future (and I would know. I AM dressed as a fortune teller after all).

Blearg! Just gimme some more time!

It Was A One-Eyed, One-Horned, Flyin' Purple People Eater...

Purple People Eater. HAHA! Totally what I feel like today with my purple ruffled H&M blouse with black ribbon tied at waist, grey Mod Cloth lace lined sweater, dark denim seethrusoul jeans from Nordys, and purple faux suede H&M pumps. Also with my silver and black bangles and long black beaded necklace.

I think yesterday was the first day since I started this that I didn't post anything. And it's not because I didn't do anything. Because I packed. Oh boy, did I pack. I packed for over seven hours (see the boxes behind me--yeah, that's not even all of them...). I now only have a few things littered here and there, my closet, bathroom and fridge to tackle...

The plan is laundry and clothes packing on Thurs, Fri finishing all the little stuff and Sat and Sun MOVE! Then I have until the end of May to clean and get completely out of my old place.

It's gonna be a crazy week & weekend, but I am excited to get into my new place. Also, need to buy a new cat carrier before the move, since he peed through the last one (onto my lap, I might add)... I am thinking he will end up in the bathroom or closet during the scary open-door part of the move. Don't want him to freak out and run into the hall. He'd never survive on his own. What would he do? Meow and purr an attacker to death? Better be safe...

White Vest, Black Blazer

"I like a girl with a white vest and a blaaaaack blazer..." I don't know why but that title totally made me think of the Cake song "Short Skirt, Long Jacket"...

Anyways... I added the blazer at the last minute when I realized I would probably be cold at work. Since I had already taken my morning pictures I figured a classy bathroom mirror pic was in the works (and lo and behold, it was).

Today I am wearing my black stretchy skinny jeans from BP Nordstrom, black Chinese Laundry silver studded booties, grey Bitten Clothing by Sarah Jessica Parker t-shirt with the NYC skyline in white from (the now defunct) Steve & Barry's, white H&M vest and black boyfriend blazer from Uniqlo (another store I'd LOVE to see in Seattle...). I started the day with my black beaded necklace (as you can see in the pic on the left), but decided it was too much with everything else...

No break today between work and rehearsal. Or rather, my break is filled with an interview for rehearsal, but it's OK. It's an interview with Sarah Rudinoff who is a brilliant and talented actor/singer AND a successful real estate agent, so I have high hopes for my dinner interview!

Summer-y Spring

I love this look. These pants make me happy and the first time I break them out each Spring, I know the weather has turned warmer.

This look is totally a summer-y spring. I'm wearing my white seersucker Fossil pants with grey stripes, grey ruffled tank also from Fossil, black v-neck sweater from Express, multi-colored cuff, long chain earrings, and Target grey plastic shoes.

This is really the official start of my crazy work and rehearsal schedule. I am getting in a half-hour early and taking a short lunch. We will see how it ends up working out, but hopefully everything is easy and painless and FUN!

PS check out my duck hands in the one pic. Totally unintentional and hilarious! Also, I don't know why the pants do that wavy thing in the pictures. If you click on them and zoom in they look fine...
